Wonderful story, with plausible timeline. . I like Severus' hair problems, that is working, you can almost feel her hands itching for scissors to even it up a tad. but has Harry gained weight...or how many kids, or is Molly's hair grey???those types of questions. Dialogue is very good, and I think you portray Snape as being hungry for intelligent conversation rather well. Over all--awesome
write much more!
Author's Response: Thanks for the kind review! Yes, Snape is very hungry for intelligent conversation; he just has to get over the fact that he's holding it with Hermione!

11-10-2006 16:47 I really love your portrayal of Granger and Snape. This is a wonderful story, in a different way than "Into the North". Your characters and their relationships are complex. You manage to make Hermione's ultimate attraction to Severus believable without resorting to "Ron-Bashing". Looking forward to more - thanks for writing.
Author's Response: Thanks for the kind review. Yes, Snape and Hermione are very complex characters, especially when it comes to romance. It would make my life easier if I could just hit each one with a love potion. The story would be much shorter!

Absolutely brilliant on two counts. Number one is that you actually took time to read the essays out there. I agree with you that they are quite wonderful and I applaud you. Number two is that the dialogue in this chapter was superb. I really liked the dynamic between the two of them. I look forward to your next update.
Author's Response: Thanks! Snape and Hermione still have a long way to go, so there will be a lot more dialogue to come.

I really enjoy the maturity of this story. It feels real, whereas so many feel contrived and forced. Great work! I look forward to reading the next chapter, as always.
Author's Response: Maturity is really what I try to attain with Severus and Hermione - they're both older and should be wiser, but both still flawed in some way. Thanks for reading.

Speaking of Faithful Snape, I've been a very unfaithful reviewer -- I don't know if I've ever said how much I'm enjoying this tale. It's different, refreshing ... and so very in character for Hermione to write a history book.
Author's Response: I really enjoy coming at the Snape/Hermione relationship from different angles (probably because I've read so many SS/HG stories that I'm desperate to avoid the cliches). Thanks for reading.
