This chapter is just as well written and witty as the other chapters before! Snape's sentences are so dry and sarcastic that I really had to grin while reading his and Hermione's conversation. I like it that you never rush to the part where Hermione and Snape fall in love with each other -it makes the story much more believable and enjoyable for me. I've almost always liked the building of their relationship better than the actual romance in SS/HG because it's such an unusual pairing and there's a lot of potential in the idea of those two together. You certainly manage to get the reader's attention because your stories are always original and very human. Thanks a lot for the lovely update! Bye, garnet.

Author's Response: I suppose that's why I do the conservative end of the spectrum: it's about the journey, not the destination. And yes, there is SO much potential with those two. Severus is a virtual trove of emotional issues, while I have to create a few for Hermione. Thanks for reading!

Your situation with Hermione and her birthday was so realistic. How many times have we thought we could handle a situation alone, only to find that we need someone to help us through it. Nicely written.
