Reviews for Snape, A History

Poor Ron, both infertile AND unsuccessful in his career. But he really should use his connections and not be so prideful to go it alone. Writing a book about the history of the war is a good idea.

Hermione's on a mission. This is good. It means she won't be siting around pining after Ron.

Author's Response: Yes, Hermione on a mission is a formidable thing.

I've seen this story sitting around for a few months now and have resisted reading it because of the C rating. (I'm big on smut) But this first chapter was really interesting and well written. I'm glad I broke down and read it. On I go!

Author's Response: I honestly believe that Severus and Hermione are more about the journey than the destination. They each have Issues in abundance.

I love this story, although I was kind of disappointed that you didn't spend more time on Hermione trying to get her book published (like details on Snape telling her to self-publish it). Although going into more details like that would probably have made this story quite an epic, so I understand that you didn't want the story to drag on forever. It's still great, Sev and Hermione live happily ever after, and (hopefully) Ron realizes it's his fault (biologically, anyway) he doesn't have kids, he apologizes to Hermione for being an ass about it while they were married, and he and Celeste adopt a Quidditch team's worth. ;)

Author's Response: Thanks for reading, Sporkwielder. Yes, writing more would have brough the story to epic lengths while all the excitement of Hermione and Snape getting together would have died down. I like to leave some things to the readers' imaginations!

Oh my God that was the best marraige proposal ever! LOL. Perfectly wonderful story, one of my all-time favorties. Thank you so much for writing!

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I can't imagine Snape on bended knee, can you?

I'm sure other people have commented on the poignant portrayal of the conversation in the café, so I'll just compliment you on your choice of the other team's name! Les Salauds de St. Lô!!! For not the first time in reading other chapters of this story, I laughed.

Author's Response: Merci!

Absolutely delightful! One thing about Snape, he gives authors the chance to exercise the wittiest, driest blades in their literary carving set! I also like, that you portray him as somehow diminished in his life circumstances, without losing any of his personality. Nice to see a "conservative" story, well-written, with lots of depth and with the potential to soar to great heights.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for your kind words! I think it's my mission in life to show that a story can be excellent without descriptive sex. And I admire you for being able to remember your log-in name!
