| (Shakes head) Sirius can be such a right prat. (Major understatement.) But he clearly *does* have real feelings for Hermioe, even if he isn't emotionally mature enough to express them in a more acceptable manner. Still, it's easy to uderstand why Hermione would feel for him, knowing full well the horrible fate that awaits him.
But Severus is no angel, that's clear enough. But I imagine that it's much easier for Hermione to understand the depth of his pain and fury having experienced for herself the extreme favoritism and leniency with which the Headmaster handles all things Sirius. Severus' attitude has pretty much become: 'The best defense is a good offense. And if I don't defend myself, no one will.'
And por Hermione, caught in the middle and falling har for a man who, in her own time, might well e furious wih her. Ouch!

~ Ari Author's Response: Sirius is very much an arrogant Pureblood, even if he has friends who aren't. He cares for Hermione, as she does for him. He is dear to Harry, so how could she not? Even if she is annoyed by his mere presence. LOL Severus is no angel, I agree. I think Hermione realized this. She has had to deal with him future self, after all. She has put herself in a very awkward position, falling for young Severus. We'll see soon how Professor Snape feels about it. Dumbledore is infuriating. He makes me so angry. I just want to slap him.
