| Was a bit surprised by the twist. Very interested to see where this goes....I have some ideas, but can't wait to see what YOU do! Update soon! I'm looking forward to it. And while Hermione is a pretty good planner, she's seemingly pretty naive and it's plausible that her feelings got the better of her, definately not going to be any mishaps with a contraceptive potion with those two and since you need it the baby for the plot, I think it's fair to let sense slide for once. Author's Response: I'm glad to have surprised you. It's what I was going for. Hehe! Yes, Hermione is very naive in this story. Really, Severus is too. Hermione is an idealist. She often doesn't think about her actions first, as seen in canon with the house-elves. My calling Severus naive is because he allowed himself to be lured into the service of a power hungry madman. I think that teenagers with no experince with the opposite sex might easily forget contraceptives, especially with their wild hormones. I shall try to update soon. :) | |||

(I think that's who you meant rather then Madam Pince.) I think that she's likely seen it all in her tenure. Severus and Hermione are definitely in for some difficult circumstances. | I really liked this story so far. This chapter was a bit of a shock though- didn't think you would bring a pregnancy into this (so is she going to deliver back in her own time ? Can't wait to see how you're going to solve this ;-). I was also wondering why contraceptives never crossed their minds but then I read your answer in the reviews so I suppose it makes sense. On a final note,
I'm happy she's not aborting the child- it might not be the most practical course of action, but as Hermione said- it's not the baby's fault they forgot...
Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing this + already look forward to the next update! Author's Response: Thank you so much. I'm glad to have surprised you. I was trying to do that. LOL! Yes, the contraceptives are something on a lot of people's minds but I remember four girls in my high school, of whom three were anal retentive bookish girls, that ended up pregnant because they just didn't think. I was close friends with one of them. She had sex multiple times without ever thinking of it. It happens. Anyway, I was thinking of those scenarios when writing this chapter. I'm happy that you like her reasoning to keep the baby. It isn't the babies fault that they forgot. I appreciate your review and will try to update soon. :) | |||

| Nice twist. Though I do have a couple of nitpicky things. 1. I don't think it would make sense that Hermione would forget completely about contraceptives (she's way too neurotic.) maybe during one night of passionate lovemaking, but from your story it seems like Hermione and Severus have made love multiple times. 2. I think you could do a little bit more with the time paradox here-- Who is this baby in Hermione's own time? I'm sure you're planning on doing this in a future chapter, but I think we need some reference to it here for the sake of cohesion. Author's Response: Glad you liked the twist. Consider the fact that Hermione is a virgin in my story. Sex isn't something she had really been thinking about until young Severus awakened her feelings. She was already under a great amount of stress. She has been living and maintaining a lie. It simply slipped her mind to use a contraceptive. Teenagers make mistakes no matter how neurotic they might be. As for the paradox issue... Are you so sure that is where this story is going? They just found out that Hermione is pregnant. We haven't gotten past that. As for discussing the baby in future chapters, remember, you don't know where exactly I'm taking the story yet. I encourage you to be patient. I have all this worked out and a lot of it written already. (Unbeta'd and raw, of course.) Everything will make sense when all is said and done. Thanks for the review. | |||
