| Wow, that was a very powerful chapter, especially the ending. Once again you have portrayed the characters perfectly. Snape was so "Snapey" in ordering Hermione to wake-up and see Aiden. I also really liked the way you handled Harry's reaction to the news, especially in regards to his parents. He would be understandably angry about Hermione not warning them, and then defensive and suspicious of Snapes behaviour towards her. I did expect Ron to show more emotion due to the 'Weasley' temper, but I don't really mind because someone's got to be nice to Hermione. Thanks for the excellent chapter! I hope Snape doesn't go to hard on Harry, he's already been through so much. Author's Response: Thank you so very much. I'm so glad you liked my characterizations. And don't worry about Ron. We'll see more of the moody him soon. I can't imagine that he would be able to pull of mature for very long. LOL! I was worried about Harry. I knew that some would like how I portrayed him while others would hate it. Hopefully, I can manage to make everyone happy in the end. We'll see very soon how Snape decides to deal with Harry. | Ah, time travel stories. Lovely to read, a pain in the arse to write. I've been debating whether or not he should have had the Mark in 1991-1996 if she hadn't time travelled yet, but I see that as 1977 comes first in the time line, then HG's time travel occured first, so yes he would. Writing about a teenaged and then an adult Snape is tricky. It's almost two different characters with a few similarities. Did you pull it off? Are you happy with your younger Snape? You certainly made him his own character, rather than a seventeen year old Alan Rickman (we've seen that before, huh?). Well done, I'm interested to see where you take this, it's not easy to pull an original idea out of the proverbial bag, and we've seen the Hermione-returns-with-baby before. Go on, Jen, make this brilliant, surprise us. warty xxx Author's Response: Actually, I'm finding that I enjoy writing this one very much. It is not always easy, but I love the challenge. The Mark was tricky, but since you know the theory I was going with now, yes, he did have it. It is also tricky with the young and adult Snape. I do like my younger Snape. He has an edge and is still emotional, but is confused about where he really wants to go in life. I'm glad that he came across as his own character. I'm not really all about the young Alan Rickman Snape. I love Rickman, but he's just not my Snape. It is hard to work with an original idea in a fandom where just about everything has been done. I'm hoping that my Hermione-returning-with-baby comes out as I am imagining it. If I can manage that, I think I can pull everything off. Now I have a lot of pressure on my shoulders. LOL! Hope I don't disappoint with the coming chapters. Thanks for your review! :) | |||
