| Severus makes an appeal to Harry to try to exert some control over his wife, Ginny Potter nee Weasley. As if! That made me laugh out loud. Imagine a mere husband making Molly Weasley's daughter do anything she did not want to do, or stop her from doing anything she did want to do! (Maybe if she were asked nicely, as a show of affection...) This chapter gives more evidence of Severus' care and consideration for his wife. I love it. Author's Response: Yes, Severus's view of how things work is, umm, unique! And, of course, his own wife isn't one for blind obedience. Glad you liked it! Annie | |||

| Hermione is so rational about it all. But then, she did note that her mind woke up before her emotions. She's a good girl, and she appreciates what Severus has done for her, instead of brooding about what he had to do to her, in order to keep her in the magical world and thereby save her life. | My gods, this is heartbreaking! He's so lonely, and although he claims there is 'no love, only power,' it's clear that he's simply drowning in selfless love that needs to be given to somebody, even if she can't hear him and isn't aware of him. | I loved this story and I'm terribly disappointed you did not continue it. Is there a way for me to know when you finish the sequel? This new twist on the SS/HG love story and marriage of convenience is compellingly sweet and of course, we all want Hermione and Severus to consummate their marriage for reals. I loved the gentle way Severus talked to Hermione in the first chapter. I would like to have heard more of that. Please don't wait to write the sequel! Author's Response: I've begun the sequel, but I have no idea how long it will take to finish it. They have a long way to go before they have a Real Marriage.
