| Marvelously enjoyable and subtle humor, with a touch of sadness as well. I particularly enjoy the rigorous narrative structure you've established: each chapter from one character's point of view, entirely in her (his) voice and without any input from other characters. I'm very curious as to whether you continue this when Hermione wakes up--it would be more difficult to if you want to include a dialogue scene--but I am just generally thrilled that you have updated and am looking forward to another *cough* Hermione's POV *cough* chapter. Thank you very much! Author's Response: Hermione's coming up again in a couple of chapters. I agree that I won't be able to keep up the structure when I have to show actual interaction. I'll probably end this fic on the Anniversary and do a sequel in a more flexible narrative style. We'll see! Thanks for reviewing...Annie | |||

| I went up and down while reading this chapter - down when I read "magical tapeworm" because that would be such an insidious curse to break, up with "magical surge" and especially "her awareness restored" (I presume Severus is now reading her textbooks for her, in preparation for her NEWTs?), and down with Severus' letter to Harry about no relationship with Hermione other than as necessity. That part told me that Severus is building up emotional walls again, in anticipation of Hermione's recovery and ability to leave him; plus now that he knows she is aware, he is probably not talking to her so openly - "just the facts" stuff. Sigh. Next chapter, please! Author's Response: We don't want to make it too easy for Our Heroes to fix things, now do we? I'm sorry for the roller-coaster ride (well, not actually). | Severus is so protective of her. I can't wait until she wakes up to express how much she heard and felt through the whole ordeal. How many more chapters?
