| It's nice to see that Minerva is on Snape's side, but I'm a little worried that the dynamics of this are wrong. Snape appears to have married and cared for Hermione more as payment of a debt, and Minerva now feels she owes Snape. It reads that she wants to set up Hermione to be accepting of any relationship Snape wants to pursue should she be cured, again as some kind of obligation.
I look forward to reading more of this, but can you let us know soon if there is anything preexisting in Severus or Hermione's feelings towards each other beyond gratitude and obligation, or will they be able to rise above this and sort out their lives beyond the curse, with or without each other?
Oh, BTW, good story, please update soon! Author's Response: I'm glad you like it and that it is raising such interesting questions. As I see it, there is much less a quid pro quo here. There's no preexisting relationship (other than respect); Snape's motivations are duty and gratitude (he denies that love and tenderness exist). Hermione doesn't have any motivations yet, that we know of anyway. Minerva is surprised to see a different Severus than she is accustomed to, but she's more stirred by the injustice of his past. | I'm glad to see that you are continuing. I think this worked well as a seque into what may come. Although, I might add that would be nice to see a few more perspectives before Hermione comes. Harry's would be nice. How hard did he fight the idea of Severus being the one to marry her, or could he? What about Lupin's perspective; he knows the wrongs his friends committed during their school year; does he know what is going on now, is he included? What of the other faculty? Hagrid, Flitwick, how do they interpret this?

| WOW!! I had not originally read this, not wanting to start another WIP. But, damn..this is excellent. I will be looking forward to all updates on this story. Severus' POV in the fist chapter was enlightening. He obviously cares for her greatly, although it doesn't show to others. His alliance with Harry regarding Hermione's health was a good bridge between the two. Minerva--eavesdropping is not a habit to get into...however, in this case, it is understandable..No one would guess at the emotions Severus has carried with him for so long...I can't wait to see what you have planned next. As for Hermione's POV, does she actually hear what Severus says? Does she feel what happens to her? Will it only become awareness as is speculated about in this chapter? hmmm, so many questions...Please, continue. Update this soon, and often...don't stop after the next POV...
