All I have to say is: Can you imagine any one of the teachers you have ever had, good or even the nastiest, most vile one in your school ever EVER treating a student that still goes to the school where they teach? This is so far fetched, it makes throwing frisbees across the Grand Canyon seem easy. And the allusion that he spit on her face? Well, yeah, I know that's only to show how upset he is, but really? Unless he drools on himself constantly, it's not going to happen. Especially not to a student he teaches. This story is just cheesy.
Author's Response: It's called the suspension of disbelief and if you can't cope with that why on earth are you reading stories on this website? |

Oh gods. YOU are PURE evil woman. You would have given Voldemort a fly for his Galleons, you know that, right? How could you leave us off like this? Specially after 'Deathly Hallows'! Why not give our brave courageous charming man a proper ending. And now, even after the movie, even if death be called upon. Kill him with dignity. With meaning. And not in some made up room that has never even been mentioned before in the books. Our man deserves... Needs... More, much much more than that. Please give this an endin. I would be so grateful to you. Put Dobby there! At the door, (how could SHE kill both Severus and Dobby and marry Hermione to Ronald and expect us to be happy? And she said she knew us!) Make it silly, dobby coming in to drop of dinner because Albus dumbledore (that was dead but survived like Harry does only his journey on the other side is a tad bit longer than harry's) wanted the happy couple to know that they were on the right track and given his consent. Or what ever you wish. But don't let my dark side kill Severus again. I felt so betrayed by how they portrayed Alan Rickman's part. Severus seemed so... Out of place in the movie, truly betrayed. Don't leave us hanging. Please. |

That is utterly evil, leaving it there! But I admit, reluctantly, that some fics are better being left with a question. It makes the reader really think it over. Just curious, but did you have anyone in mind as the person knocking on the door? Excellent fic xx |

Such an amazing one-shot. I love it, I am surprised I've never seen this before. Quite an interesting take on L/S and J/L. I've never put much thought into, I just usually focus on S/H present time :) |

"He took her from you, didn't he?"
"There was nothing to take. She was not a possession."
"He used one of your love potions. It's in the records - the crime and punishment files. You were severely punished for the spell you cast on him, claiming he'd used a love potion which wouldn't show up with the usual tests. No one, it seemed, believed you. A few weeks after that, just after you'd all left Hogwarts, Lily and James were married. They eloped. No one but Sirius Black knew until it was too late. He married her while she was under the love potion. Did he really hate you so much, that he would marry Lily Evans just to spite you?"
"Potter was not the wonder boy everyone believed him to be. Only I saw through him - realised his glory came from a cauldron rather than what was inside his heart.
THANK YOU! I've been considering the idea of Lily being under a love potion when she married the toerag for months! but didnt know how to write it. I am sooooo glad to know that someone else thought the same. It's a tragedy that the meme did not spread.
Perhaps if this oneshot hadn't been marked as a PWP - for there was a lot more plot in here than there is in most fics - of any label.
