I'd forgotten why Snape was so angry about returning to life, although I did recall that he had spoken to Lily in the in-between place and she had promised him that he would find love with another. | JKR claims that Snape's portrait never appeared because he abandoned his post, but that's rubbish. It's not just the popular Headmasters whose portraits appear, it's all of them. So Snape wasn't dead. Author's Response: I thoroughly agree, vera. I believe JKR said, some time after the publication of book 7, that they 'probably' gave Snape an honorary portrait a few years after the war. And that, I think, is probably a bit of an admission that it was a mistake! | |||
