good to see you back , I see this Severus maynot be the good guy Dumbledor thinks he is?? As for Draco, well I still think Lucius can be so much more intimadating ; )

Author's Response: I'm glad to be back ) we're dying of absolutely abnormal heat here. The question is, is Dumbledore the good guy everyone thing he is? ))) and yes, Draco hasn't got sh*t on Lucius when it comes to badassery )))

Wow! Funny *and* scary and a big UhOh at the end. Thank you

Author's Response: Thank YOU )) that was exactly my intention, to make it scary, funny and with a big uh-oh at the end )

*The young Midwife paused, sizing the faces of her visitors for readiness, and announced solemnly, “Hermione, you are Middler!” Well, at least I’m not a Cher or a Barbra Streisand, Hermione thought and dissolved in peals of laughter, despite the pain and the strain of the night.* I was startled a little when Hermione started making the comparison of Middler with Cher and Streisand but when I read the name Bette Midler I started laughing so hard! Haha!!! That part is really funny. Hmm, Draco's presence does no bode well.

Author's Response: I'm very glad you liked it )) I was having field days thinking of a proper name for what I wanted Herms to be.

An awesome update, but I have an uneasy feeling. "Hermione rarely felt so relieved and happy to see the Fat Lady as she was a few seconds later." You don't mention her getting inside, so I'm wondering if Draco's going to attack/kidnap her from behind. :(

Author's Response: Aww, thanks! Your note is especially flattering and I'm so happy to know you're following my story. Draco is most certainly up to something, and soon all will be revealed.

I must say that I am enjoying this story, but I feel compelled to protest at some of the details included about mages. As most readers of the series have come to realize, Dumbledore is not all sunshine and light. However, I doubt that even he would carry on such a long and intimite friendship with Nicolas Flamel, such as the one indicated in the first book, if the man had enslaved his wife for hundreds of years. Remember, they lived for over half a milennium; it is hardly likely that such a thing could have gone on so long and not be common knowledge, and thus mentioned by Rowling. Also, I find the alteration of the Merlin mythos rather too farfetched as well. Again, there is the problem of the attitudes toward Merlin which occur in the books. Would everyone be so reverential towards someone who assisted his wife in the type of crimes you describe. In this you also contradict yourself, as when Hermione first discovered that Merlin was a mage, all she felt was awe. You would think her emotions on that score would be completely different if your version of the myth was in play. Other than that, though, it is a very interesting story and I hope that you update soon!

Author's Response: I'd ike to thank yoг specifically for this review. I totally see where you're coming from, but would like to suggest a slightly different outtake nonetheless. I think (and I've studied quite a lot of history to think so) that not a single truly great man/woman in history comes out as inherently good. There's just this line you cross on the way to becoming great that ups the ante severely. And after crossing that line, great people have to choose who to please and who to diss, so to say, and the dissing is always painful. I can't think of a single great history figure with whom no violence is connected. Ok, maybe, Mother Therese. But it's an exception that proves the rule. I also firmly believe that no power comes without violence. As for Merlin, I sure think he was not a good man, through and through. It was not the time for inherently good people. But time and mythos brushed him up real pretty. Hermione is raised on the general myth and then comes to discover some home truths (and there I took some liberties, yes). Anyways, I'm glad that you're enjoying the story overall.

Hmmm... a Middler? Intriguing. Looking forward to seeing how she uses her skillz... and why Malfoy was watching her... and what kind of mentor Snape is for her.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you find it an interesting read. Heres hope the further chapters won't disappoint.

awesome...the chapter was a nice long read although because it was so good I flew right through it....I have so many questions about her making connections and draco's appearance...

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm really happy you're enjoying it and I hope all of your questions will find answers in further chapter.
