hmm, Loki is not exactly what I thought, but close. And I wonder how their lessons with Snape were :) Must've been a torture for him.

Author's Response: Yep, Loki is a lot of things (lies, tricks, mischief, pranks, cunning, cleverness, chaos) so I might be using the concept rather one-sidedly, but telling more would be spoiling, right? :)

oooooh Weasley twins are Mages! Terrific! :) They are amongst my favorite characters of all time and I always enjoy when they are in fanfiction, I hope to see them here too :) And I think I know what Loki is - isn't that a Scandinavian God of mischief and jokes? I'll go and google it right now. And the jabs exchanged between all of them were so great, especially Snape's five points to Gryffindor for Hermione's question :)))

Author's Response: I so share your love of Weasley twins! So, since I'm convinced that good ole Joe did not put their potential to even a quarter of use... I hereby promise, they will feature in this story a LOT. I love them to piece. They might just be my favs after Snape and Hermione. Thank you for reviewing!

Me = wowed. Honestly, that's great writing. I love it! Normally I try to avoid WIPs and I just wanted to read the first chapter and put a bookmark on it so I could read it when it's finished, but then it sucked me in. Please don't abandon your story, it's far too good to stop halfways... your writing style is wonderful, it's easy to read and has a very smooth flow. The relationship between the characters is very well shown (f.x.Snape/Dumbledore). I especially liked the characters of the books in the first chapter! So, enough rambling from my side, I'm eager for more! (although I should def learn, have two exams next week and a paper due..) greetz from Munich

Author's Response: Oh wow, do I have to tell you how much that just strokes my ego? :)) Thank you very much for giving this WIP a try! I'd like to assure you though, this story is written in its entirety. I'm still tweaking it a bit, but no writer's block is threatening, so there's no threat of it being abandoned. I myself hate it when it happens, there are a few stories which I simply ADORE which never got finished... so, I'll do my bestest not to subject any reader I have to that. Thank you for giving me your thoughts and I hope I won't disappoint further on.

I really do like the start of this story, I hope its not short at all! I love how Hermione is keeping an eye out for Dumbledore's meddling. Keep up the good work!

Author's Response: Thank you for leaving me a note! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it so far - and yes to the Dumbledore's constant string-pulling. The man is a menace when it comes to that! :)

From my understanding a witch is someone who can do spells, potions... that already exists. A mage can do those things but he can also create them. However, in Harry Potter, a witch or a wizard can create spells and potions yet they aren't called Mage. The main example would be Severus. He created spells and potions. It also seems that Masters (be they Potions or Charms ones) can create new things. So I'm sure there are more to it than that. The name 'Mage' makes me think of Merlin and Morgana from Arthurian Legends. And I have always seen them as Masters of Magic and not merely Users of Magic. (I hope it makes sense.) Is this it? Is Hermione a Master of Magic? And is Severus one too? He must be for him to 'train' her. But enough of that. I like your story. At the beginning I didn't understand everyone's reaction. Some talk to snakes, others talk to the fates (the seers), so why should talking to books be more frightenning that those two? I can't wait to read more. Good going, Adrastea

Author's Response: Thank you for such a comprehensive review )) You are, in fact, not far off the Mark, going Morgana and Merlin way, but that's not all there is to the concept. Then again, think Muggle and Wizard and how the two cultures would treat it... ))) I hope that sounds enticing! Hee :) Thanks for reading again, and I hope I won't disappoint!

A Mage, you say? That little blood test was interesting. Do you plan on explaining it? ;)

Author's Response: Yes, but not right away ))) what would be the mystery in that? ;)
