| Why do I feel she has just made a deal with the Devil himself?
The line "Neville would have popped and aneurism if he could only see her right now." has permently cemented a smile on my face for the day. You've laced this chapter with some great lines and moments. Hope the computer doesn't delay the next update. |

| I really like the way you've moved Hermione's love of books into another realm altogether. And I have a suspicion that the "Malleus" won't be seen by anybody else - just a hunch. As for Severus - I love him when he's practising absolute bastardry. |

| Just one thing: Hermione made her deal with Snape "without as much as *supercilious* research on exactly what wand deals entrailed" "Supercilious" means disdainful, contemptuous ,haughty - Malfoy-like. That's not a word I would apply to Hermione. I wonder if you didn't mean to say *superficial* ( quick and cursory) research. |

| I wonder how it is for Snape to have someone who "wants" to be with him; someone who has to stop jumping for joy when she sees him approach. I wonder if he is telling himself that it is just because he is useful to her and not because he is who he is. I wonder if she'll be able to connect those dots (seeing as she is an interpreter)... |
