Whoa. What a deal!!!! Something like "sell your soul to the devil?" I'm curious as to how Lucius found out... will we be getting that backstory?

Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, the deal sounds silly to say the least. Lucius heard from Draco that something fishy was going in and put two and two together. There's a mention of this in earlier chapters and also in the one freshly posted.

Never go into debt with a wizard asking for a favour unless you know what it is beforehand. You should know better, Hermione! ^_^

Author's Response: Yep, it will definitely come back and bite her in the arse :)

Oh what fools we are Hermione. An open ended bargain with the devil? Hopefully it won't be something he will regret. Maybe even something to bring them together because Snape's harshness is a little more than cruel sometimes. Would like to see her get him to break that facade sometime.

Author's Response: Oh, I think she's the only one out there who's able to knock loud enough to get that particular door open. I think she will )

Oooh. That answer is a one-way ticket to nowhere good. Although he is a certified, grade A bastard, I still can't really see Snape taking advantage of an exhausted student in such a manner. Undoubtedly, when Hermione regains her faculties, she will be beyond pissed.

Author's Response: I think they were both rash in this. They are both passionate, quick-tempred, stubborn people, so, sometimes things like this happenned. But yes, I agree, Snape will not take advantage. At least, he'll give her more leverage ")

hmm... another typo "Who would have known thar the delicate bone structure of Draco’s pretty face could contort in such a gruesome expression of rage. " --> that, not thar :) as for the chapter - interesting development. But... Hermione is acting so not herself. So... but actually if you take into consideration all those things that happened to her, maybe it is logical for her to act like this. Still, that stubborness which led her to making a deal with Snape, is a bit too much. I can't just believe it 100%. Must wait for another chapter to see how everything evolves from there, especially how she will react to her actions when she get enough sleep and get her senses back. Everything with Draco was chillingly perfect. And I want to smack Harry and Ron on their heads, but maybe that's how teenager boys are. Forgot that.

Author's Response: First of all, thank you very much for the typo mentions. I suck at correcting my own mistakes and for this very chapter my lovely beta took a vacation in lovely France ))) Second, I hope now that the next chapter is up, Hermione's actions make more sense. I personally, believe that she has a very adventurous side to her, especially when it comes to learning.

Typo: '“No, I cannot ask… Dumbledore.” She emitted the formal title.' Omitted, not emitted. And, wooo hooo! I'm so glad you posted this chapter- I was beginning to worry. I can't wait for what's next.

Author's Response: Thank you very much for the typo correction ) I need those. I'm being horrible with updates - blame the heat. It's abnormal! I haven't seen a drop of rain in a month .

Hermione seems to be irrational. Has her experience with the midwife caused a loss in her cognitive reasoning? Who would ever give Snape a blank check and what did she even get in return? Someone is not thinking clearly. And what is up with Harry and Ron? With friends like those, who needs enemies?

Author's Response: I would :) Kidding. I think she's just desperate in her quest for knoqledge to think rationally. She's overwhelmed with all this new information and scared witless to be left alone to cope with it. And Harry and Ron are being... well... Harry and Ron.
