| He told Samantha her father's family had been looking for her all her life!?!? What a stupid, insensitive bastard! Worse even than canon Snape has ever been. Your Snape has a hell of a lot of growing up to do. Something tells me that Samantha thinks so, too. She trusted him when no one else did, and yet he abandoned his nascent respect for Hermione merely because she succumbed to the temptation to take or give comfort on the night before a battle when they all could have died. He punished her for it at the time, and now he's punishing her again by setting her innocent daughter up for a life-wrenching disappointment. I hope you've got some seriously painful comeuppance in store for him. This is, I assume from the site, an SSHG story; I hope he makes some major changes before she agrees to do so much as look at him. Very involving story (obviously). Author's Response: Yes, yes yes! | There are so many things about this story that I love so far. I like that things aren't all neat and tidy. Ron didn't wrap Athena up in a bear hug; Hermione didn't confess undying love for Snape; Snape clearly has residual anger and resentment built up over finding the two of them in flagrante delicato all those years ago. I'm looking forward to learning a little more of the back story...for instance, Hermione's motivations in shagging Ron. Was it just a I-don't-want-to-die-a-virgin kind of thing? Or something more?
