Author's Response: There's a great word/usage radio programme that discussed the silliest warning labels they could find. The winner: a brass fishing lure whose label claimed "Harmful if swallowed." Brilliant! So I think I may have to subtitle this story, "May cause mild abdominal discomfort." I am so glad you're enjoying the story in spite of the cardiovascular stress. | Ahhhhhh! This chapter is the very reason I love this story so much. I just, simply love the layered meanings within their banter... it's exhilirating! I've been restraining myself from rushing out to read it in one greedy gulp... and I'm glad that I have. The anticipation (can you hear Carly Simon singing in the background?) has been quite delicious! Author's Response: I gotta admit, it's fun to be a bit wicked, both suspense-wise and smut-wise (I'm so vain, I probably think this song is about me...). I've had an aversion to writing sex scenes since my very first foray into fanfiction, which was a graphic coupling of the worst pairing I could think of in the Star Wars universe. Needless to say, my co-writer posted it in incomplete form and my name is nowhere on it :D So this fic was healing for me, and hopefully it's something that others can enjoy, too. Thank you so much for your comments, they always give me something to think, smile, sing, and/or laugh about! | |||
