| As you know, I love this story for all the myriad reasons (and more) that I have mentioned. However, if one could point out a single section that was a favorite, mine would be this... beginning with Hermione's statement: I knew about its nasty reputation, of course. I must confess, it rather intimidated me for some time. But upon later examining the things I thought I knew about it, I found that a great deal of the horrible things attributed to it were either exaggerated or completely untrue. and through "Pity," he said in a disinterested tone. "Clearly, reading up on a subject isn't everything." Egad... it's just scintillating! This is simply some of the best verbal foreplay I've ever read... bar nothing. It's laden with innuendo, ripe with desire and the prelude to a very satisfying encounter. I actually liked his swatting her on the bum, and her response. This is a very adult Hermione, but then again she's survived a war and is a precocious only child. I think your Hermione and Severus are well matched.
Author's Response: Perhaps it was coming into maturity during the internet age in a rural town, but I find that a well chosen word, typed or spoken, is one of the sexiest, most dangerous things in the world. It's why I occasionally fall for fictional characters. :) It just made sense to me, to have both verbal and physical foreplay with these two; one devours language in written form, and the other uses it as a weapon. | Lovely little trip down memory lane. I have SUCH a soft spot for Teen!Severus and Lily Evans, you have NO idea. I was begging someone just today to write me HAPPY Marauder era Severus/Lily story. Yummy. I do love how quickly the updates are coming now. Author's Response: I've gotten better at spotting my mistakes during submission. One of my chapters for this story actually got shot down because it had too many errors. I didn't think it was _that_ bad, but I'm biased :) I'm delighted that I'm not the only one who sees Severus's worst memory not just as a memory of humiliation, but one of the stupidest moments of his life. | What an interesting turn of events. How convenient that he didn't use her name but 'intelligent ambitious Gryffindor'. I can't wait to see what happens next. Author's Response: I think Lily is the reason that Severus and his heart weren't on speaking terms for so long. It took a real shake-up for him to go looking for that part of him again.
