Aha...ok ... I'll be looking forward to more so I can be sure what is going on! =)
Author's Response: I quite understand the "Aha... ok." Explanations are forthcoming in the next chapter, and I thank you for bearing with me :) |

Hm, you've made me curious, what exactly is going on?
Author's Response: Many, many things, most of which will be explained in the next and final chapter. I'm glad I've piqued your curiosity, and even gladder that you reviewed! Thank you so much! |

Oh, I can't believe there's only one more chapter left. Sad. Very interesting stuff.
Author's Response: I'm glad you're enjoying the story, and thank you so much for your review. The last chapter is fairly long and will hopefully answer most lingering questions. I'm sad that this story is coming to an end, too! The only cure- write more! :D |

This seems a bit different... a little tighter... a bit more explicit than the first incarnation. It's good... I laughed aloud at the Honeydukes comment, and I particularly like the idea of the perpetual curse. It's as novel a way of removing some of his burden as I've read.
As always, it's a delight, and I look forward to the polish on the next chapter.
Author's Response: I really like the symmetry that the revalation of his curse creates. I also like that his flashback also makes him think about what characteristics he used to find compelling in a member of the opposite sex, which is something that I suspect has been locked away in a corner of his mind for many years. JKR says that Snape has been loved by somebody in his life, and that fact makes him more culpable than Voldemort, who never has. However, Snape has suffered more in his life than Voldemort ever could for precisely the same reason. I just ran out of philasophical steam, so I'll shut up now :) Thank you so much for your comments, and I'm delighted that you're enjoying the new and improved version.

Ack! I forgot to compliment you on 'torus.' It's so great to see a wordsmith at play.
Author's Response: I think you may have to revoke the wordsmith title in favor of punster. Here's an example of a joke that I made up, using the same word:
A donut walks into a bar. A lady at the bar looks him up and down and says, "Hey, sweet thing. What's your sign?
The donut replies, "Torus."
Believe it or not, that's one of the better ones. I've yet to figure out why "so-and-so walks into a bar" jokes are invariably in present tense, but to say, "a guy walked into a bar" sounds a bit off, and "tonight, a guy will walk into a bar" is just silly. How about, "a guy, having walked into a bar?" Hmm, I may be on to something there.
