| great chapter. thank you for the update. please explain what just happened. so slytherin has the same contest. he didn't complete so he's been in a bad way for years until he made it with hermione. will the glowing stay or go away. waiting for more. i think i'll reread this later after the kids are in bed. | I like it. I can't wait to read more, and even though Albus and Hermione took advantage of Severus, would he really do anything that he didn't want to do? I think the (like most people want to think) that he wanted it as much as she did, although the plaque thing in this chapter is kinda wierd. I can't wait to see where it takes us. Author's Response: Well put- I feel that Severus would rather swallow shards of glass than admit that someone else is worthy of his time, but he sees what's in front of him, eventually. Yeah, the plaque thing is definitely weird (no idea where it came from, actually), but more will be explained in the next chapter. Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments! | |||

| It just seems to me as though Hermione wanted one thing - to be the Stud of Gryffindor. It doesn't matter who gets in her way or the feelings of others, including Snape. Both she and Albus took advantage of him and that's playing with someone's life But I am enjoying the story and will keep reading and hope Hermione learns some kind of lesson from this. Author's Response: Wartcap actuall responded to your review far more concisely than I could. " My perception was that the Gryffindor stud competition was a catalyst for her desire and in the cold light of day she regretted the bet." That's pretty much how I envisioned it. But in spite of all of this, I am delighted you're enjoying the story! I'm enjoying your comments, and I hope you make more on future chapters. | |||

Author's Response: I find that a large bit of something chocolatey accomplishes much the same goal, or so I've been told. Aah, yes, the mysterious plaque. | Oh my lord! Pure passion, blimey! I loved the "Vino vendibili hedera non opus est" quote, it set the mood perfectly. I'm off for a lie down and/or a cold shower. LOL ;-) Author's Response: Bartleby.com would be my hero, if a website could be. Where else can you find Bartlett's, Bullfinch's, and W.B. Yeats in one place?
