| ponder. I am not sure what to make of this chapter. Author's Response: It sprung from a reader's comment. She hoped that we'd see a chapter from Severus's point of view. I felt that we needed to see a bit of what was going on from his perspective. | Nice development! In a way, Snape and Hermione saved each other from the terrible lot of failing their oaths. Was Hermione going to die if she didn't complete here part? I forget. Author's Response: The references didn't really specify whether Hermione and the boys just had to just "go after" their loves or succeed with their loves. Still, Hermione wasn't about to risk her health of santy by doing things half-heartedly. I'm so glad you're enjoying my plot twistiness! There's a bit more left to unravel. | Not sure why the title of this chapter is about bananas.... but I like it anyway. Author's Response: For reasons that are unclear to me, I named chapters 3-8 after lines/concepts from Rudyard Kipling's "The Elephant's Child," which is the story I recite to myself if I'm trying to go to sleep and I can't get my brain to shut off. | Wow...2 chapters, both great. Sooo what will this plaque mean in regards to Hermoine and Severus? I'm sure all questions will be answered in upcoming chapters, but I want to thank you for not leaving us hanging in regards to the "oral exam".

| Of course you could write an alternative ending from chapter 7, I think this would make a very good time turner fic. My plot bunnies have exploded since writing the previous review! Author's Response: The story of my life writing fanfic: it all started with one or two plot bunnies, but like bunnies do, there are about a gazillion now and they're eating me out of house and home, thought-wise! | I'm going to disagree with snape fan's review that Hermione was bulldozing her way through the feelings of others. My perception was that the Gryffindor stud competition was a catalyst for her desire and in the cold light of day she regretted the bet. The shield quandry I read as Snape's choice in the Slytherin stud competition was Lily Evans. Somehow Lily's name has magically been replaced by Hermione's on the shied and therefore Snape has fulfilled his quest and shaken off his forfeit. For a minute I thougtht this was becoming a time turner fic, but I now suspect a sneaky headmaster may have his wand in the proverbial pie. LMAO sunglasses and bandana on Salazar Slytherin. Author's Response: I hope you don't mind that I quoted your review when I responded to snape fan. You see things exactly the same way I do. The Headmaster has his hands in so many pies that his fingers must taste very muddled. Thank you so much for your insightful comments and defence! | |||
