| oh gods... may the next chapter come swiftly-- before I die of anticipation. Author's Response: I have been having such trouble formatting this story that every chapter I've posted has had errors, and bless 'em, the Admins always find them. So, I'm quite a long way from being able to get a chapter up as soon as I've finished with it. I'm explaining this so you won't bludgeon me when chapter five is validated. | Well, this is a truly enjoyable story! I think my favorite part is Dumbledore starting to tell a dirty joke! (And if it wasn't going to be dirty, please don't burst my bubble...) Your Snape is wonderful...nasty little bugger that he is! I'm looking forward to more! Author's Response: It's a somewhat dirty joke- definitely one he wouldn't tell a first year. To wit (or not to wit): A pirate walks into a bar with a steering wheel hanging from his trousers. The bartender says, "Hey, what's that?" The pirate replies, "ARRRR, it's a steering wheel, matey." The bartender says, "That's what I thought. What's it doing hanging from the front of your trousers?" The pirate replies, "ARRRRR! It's drivin' me nuts!" Thank you so much for your kind review! | |||

I am really enjoying this story! I can't wait for the next chapter, and I like the idea of bartender-Hermione. I only wish they had those kind of classes in my school! *hic* GG Author's Response: My brother left that joke for me on my answering machine last International Talk Like a Pirate Day, and it's been in my standard joke repertoire ever since. I think Hermione may be the only student in the history of the school that could get away with basing an independent study on alcohol. I like her justification, "It's been used as a Muggle remedy for centuries." I find it both interesting and absurd, which is my favorite combination. Thank you so much for reviewing! | |||

| I love the animated dialogue between Hermione and Dumbledore. Brilliant stuff. More please!!! Author's Response: Dumbledore is so often played as a matchmaker, which I think fits well with his occasionally disastrous machinations in canon. In spite of that, Dumbledore is still nearly omnicient and with a very strict sene of honourable and dishonourable. It was definitely an interesting balance to write, and overall, very fun. I loved punctuating the very serious discussion with sweets. It seemed right somehow. :D Thank you so much for your review! More is coming as soon as the chapters are validated! | |||
