| Oh my aching sides.
"Hermione strode into the Potions classroom with the air of confidence that only really fantastic underwear can lend." I read this bit out loud to my husband to explain why I was laughing so hard, and all I got was a blank stare, so this must be a girl thing. "Bastard, she thought fondly, spearing an olive." Isn't that the truth? He's an unmitigated bastard, and we LOVE him for it. "But I plan to enjoy any highly personal disclosures and judgment lapses you wish to report." But he didn't enjoy them, did he? Silly man. "Hermione couldn't say exactly when the venom ceased to sting and began to inflame, but it most certainly had." Now, this is an interesting take on them -- his nastiness actually makes her HOT? Sweet. Author's Response: It's funny- I see his nastiness as a coded message, in that he nastiness camouflages the real signal. Admittedly, sometimes the signal is more nastiness, but having the maturity to read between the lines is one of the biggest things Hermione has going for her, as you will see :D I'm so glad you're enjoying the story, and more story will be up as soon as it's validated! | Oh, I so like to know what happens in the hospital wing... and I can't wait to see what Snape will do about Hermione's underwear. I can't imagine him simply giving in and stripping her, but something has to happen. Perhaps some embarrassed fumbling, trying to get it off with her still fully clothed. That would be fun to read. Author's Response: You have excellent intuition :D There are a few more things that Hermione has to deal with before the underwear comes off, but if ever there was an efficient worker, it's Hermione!
