| I love how you've tightened this up. I'd notice a difference in a couple of word choices... be still my beating heart, you actually used, correctly, 'gibbous' in reference to the waxing moon. I love it when people use words well, and you do it with such aplomb!
There is so much to like in this chapter, but I especially want to read the wizarding version of Candide and find myself wondering whether Lady Chatterley's Lover or anything by Collette has been bowdlerized by Muggles. I snickered over the author's name of 'What a Piece of Work is Man' (Sal Oume! How droll) and absolutely think your Snape is extremely tasty.
Although, perhaps the best part of the chapter is the idea of Millicent Bullstrode in silk corestry! Poor Neville! Author's Response: I always hope to treat words well so that they never abandon me. How awful it would be to be at a loss for words! Since the Hogwarts Library is the #1 fictional place I'd like to visit, I think it only appropriate to gift it with the books that I'd love to read. I'm adding a more exciting version of Lady Chatterly to the list! Actually, that reminds me of a great bit from the 1974 version of "Murder on the Orient Express." A manservant was sharing a pullman room with a car salesman from Chicago. The salesman asked, "What are you reading?" The manservent replies in plummy tones, "Lady Chatterly's Lover." "Is it about sex?" "No, it's about ten-thirty." You're the best! Thank you for your comments! | |||

| What a wonderful conversation with the boys. I doubt if Hermione could have ever had this same conversation with the girls...they strike me as silly.
Author's Response: Yeah, there's definitely a dearth of interesting girls in Hermione's year. Ginny's pretty fantastic, but I've conveniently stashed her with Dean for the duraiton of this fic. I also think that the boys couldn't have had that converstaion without Hermione. They know they won't be judged, and she makes the space comfortable for them to talk about their secret crushes- not something that guys normally volunteer.
