| Damn but this was good! I really like your humour and how Severus is perfectly in character and nasty and wonderful. I kept expecting him to just kick her out and that would be that. Hermione was also a great character in this - v. determined in a fairly bookish way. Great story, thanks for writing! Author's Response: Wow, thank you so much for your kind words! | Damn...I'm *really* liking this! I often find in stories like this I'm cringing horribly, but usually it's for the poor writing as opposed to the characters actions. This, however is wonderfully written and I can cringe away while still reading a wonderfully written story! Author's Response: I never want to make things too easy for the characters, and a bit of cringeworthy embarrassment keeps us all humble in our pursuits :D Thank you so much for your lovely reviews! | |||

I re-read this while writing "Trifles," and I realized the lemons were pretty tame by comparison. I think that's just because "Trifles" is a deviant little story :D That, and this was written in 2004, when I had far fewer stories under my belt and was still a bit shy about writing sexy time. Poor, poor little Snape has no idea what is in store for him tonight. She clapped her hand over her mouth and bolted out the door before he could ask any more questions.” At first I thought this was going to be the funniest part of the chapter, but man oh man it just kept coming! I loved that Hermione sold Pansy out and confessed everything to Snape all at the same time! Hermione’s reaction to laugh at Snape’s refusal to allow them to date was PRICELESS!!!!
