Reviews for An Army of Snapes

Sweet epilogue, wished it was longer, as I just want to prolong the end of a great story.
Author's Response: Thanks, Betz. And thank you for reviewing just about every single chapter, if I remember aright. (I hope your husband came home with some energy left, and the kids went straight to bed on time...) Alas, no sequel, no extention, this is firmly a "one-shot" in that regards. But it was a lot of fun to write. ~Lotm |

Be still my beating heart! That gust of wind is a big sigh from my direction. That was so sweet and romantic and so heart-string pulling, I think I went into cardiac arrest. At least they are being sensible about this and she's not knocked up from her shag-a-thon. Oh, that was so sweet. Deliriously wonderful in soft, romancitc fluffiness and swooning. Sigh!
Author's Response: (catches the swooning Betz in a vat of fluffy sweet meringue...) I'm a big proponent of planned families, pro-choice, yadda yadda. I've seen too many fics where they have unprotected sex multiple times and the girl never gets pregnant; that's not realistic, in my experience. (Not personal, just by observation.) Someone once suggested wizarding world equivalents to STDs, but I'm a little squicky about going so far as to describe that sort of thing... Pregnancy is another issue (pun intended).
As the father of a friend of mine from high school once put it, "I'm putting a bowl of condoms in you girls' bathroom. It'll be refilled whenever it needs it, no questions asked. I'd rather you were using them up by turning tricks on a street corner, than to see you kill yourself by having unprotected sex with an infected stranger." A bit blunt, but it was a very effective message. Needless to say, his daughters decided to be very selective in their affairs d'amour... ~Lotm |

That was great... though I would've loved to see Harry and Ron's reactions to the news. One of the weirdest (and best) stories I've read in ages.
Oh... and oops. Sorry about misspelling 'it' in the last review. The excitement of the story just overwhelmed me into spelling-stupidity, I'm certain.
Author's Response: 'Sokay; I figured Titivillus just sent some of his typo-demons to plague your computer, too... I thought about their reaction to it, but thought it was better left a mystery. And no, I'm not going to write a sequel. Don't even step within fifty feet of my plot-bunny hutches! (Still working on the plot-pirhanna problem...) ~Lotm |
