| Beautiful! 'Old Smoking Boots' finally got his just deserts, and so did Harry, Ron, and especially Severus and Hermione. Yay! This story goes on my list of favorites, for certain. | Okay, first, before I forget - again - I want to comment on the scene a few chapters back in which Hermione flashed Severus to shut him up. That was hilarious and inspiring, although at my age and after years of living, I hardly think it would have quite the same - erm - overall effect, even while it would definitely shock the flashee into utter silence. (Not to mention a fervent desire to be Obliviated...) My second observation is that I am totally, unequivocally and hopelessly in love with Kind-Snape. You have obviously researched this facet of his character, and I can virtually see him. Actually, this whole fantasy is just vivid, juicy, sexy and amazing, and I quite understand why Hermione got off on the thought of having a baby by Severus. That is, after all, the basic point of sex, and all the pleasure involved is strictly a fringe benefit, although most people focus on that and hope the rest of it sort of magically won't happen. Hermione is an honest, courageous, loving Gryffindor, and I can see her being a very good wife and mother - lucky, lucky Severus. Author's Response: Nahhh, you're not that old! | *sigh* This is one of the loveliest, most sweetly romantic chapters I've ever read in fanfic. Good Merlin, Snape has a corporeal version of his own super-ego watching over Hermione and himself, telling her all the things he would choke to death on his own spit rather than say out loud, but that she needs to hear, letting her know he loves her! Damn, but I love this chapter! Wonderful, wonderful! Another great story takes shape under your clever hands, LotM! Author's Response: Mm-hmm! | Great jumping horny toads - erm - chocolate frogs. This has got to be one of the most original story premises I've read in fanfic. And it's compelling; I want to know what happens next. Good job!
