Awesome! This story is just one of the best I've read . It flows with such intelligence. I slept for only 4 hours last night and just had to get up so I could continue reading.
Author's Response: Tsk tsk. You shouldn't short-sheet your need for sleep like that! It'll still be here after a good night's rest, ya know... ~Lotm |

Absolutely wonderful. I was spell bound by this tale. Where do you get all of your creativity? I wish I could write like this. Someday I'm going to have to come up with a challenge cause writing it wouldn't work for me. Congrats on an awesome story.

Author's Response: A) I'm a bibliophile. I read a LOT. B) I've also watched t.v., movies, plays, etc., so I have a wide and diverse background of mythology, legends, and general plotlines to draw from. C) I love the English language; it's very versatile, with many different ways to say the same thing, whatever that thing may be. (Well, in most instances.) D) I'm easily bored.
No, seriously. I get very bored. I have two things that cure my boredom: singing, and plotting stories. I do embarrass my family by singing in public from time to time (I do have a good singing voice most of the time, thankfully), but most of the time, or when it's not appropriate to sing, I entertain myself by imagining scenes, scenarios, plotlines, situations, characterizations, dialogue, settings...you name it.
My brain works very fast, in dashes of logic and leaps of intuition, and I do get very, very bored if I don't occupy its attention with something fascinating. If I'm not writing, I'm reading; if I'm not reading, I'm singing; if I'm not singing, I'm story-plotting; if I'm not story-plotting, I'm playing a game of some sort; if I'm not playing a game, I'm looking for a good movie to watch (I gave up t.v. when they cancelled the Firefly series mid-season for some utterly dumb and boring "reality" show. *snort* Pardon my crudeness, but I could crap a better idea for a t.v. show outta my arse than what they replaced Firefly with!!) (*is very offended by most programmes on t.v. these days*)
And everything I read or watch can become potential grist for my story-churning mill. For instance, when brushing my teeth *she says very primly*, I read Science News Weekly, which keeps me abreast of the newest developments in all branches of science...which sets my mind to thinking about all the ways I could incorporate that information into my stories.
Lastly...some of my story ideas come from dreams. No kidding. Most of those end up sparking my original fiction stories, though... Okay, enough long-winded answering! I'm glad I could entertain you so well. *curtsies* ~Lotm |
