I have completely ENJOYED this story. I had me captivated from the get go! List-Snape...however...had me all tuckered out. Poor Hermione. I would have loved to have seen the wedding, but I liked the way you ended it.
Lovely!!!
Wonderful job

Author's Response: Thank you; List-Snape exhausted me, too... ~Lotm |

Oh, no! I mean, they did the right thing, but I don't want to wait any more than they do. Fortunately, I can go read the next chapter right now, and no one can stop me. Mwahaha.
Author's Response: Ooh, nice evil laugh! Do you practice? I do! ~Lotmweheheh |

Oh this has put a whole new spin on Snape/Granger stories. Love It.
Author's Response: Mweeheeheeh! mwheeeeee! mwheeeeeheeheehee! (Ya know, it is very hard to sound properly evil while spinning around and around, as suggested...) ~Lotm |

While the story started off slow (and the fact the chocolate frog kept living despite Ron's assertions in the first book that they only have one good jump in them bothered me), this ended up being one of the more enchanting Hermione and Snape stories I've read. Chapter 7 was especially well done - the humor and tone were exceptional. Brava!
Author's Response: Well, I didn't recall Ron's comment about their jumping capability from the books. The one in the movie looked like it had quite a bit of life in it, after all. But I figure, the animation spell, like chocolate itself, is only good for a short period of time. The fresher the spell, the more animated the frog, just as the fresher the chocolate, the better it is.
(If it has a white "dusting" or waxy coating on it, throw it out. That's called the "fat bloom", and the cocoa, fat, sugar, etc, are separating. This is why Easter chocolate is so crappy; for starters, its fat and sugar contents are waaaaay too high, and for another, I'm convinced they do the chocolate productions back before February, when they're running the machines for Valentine's Day chocolates, just changing the moulds to Easter-themed ones. Horrid stuff!)
I figured Ron managed to snag a really fresh, just-in-from-the-chocolatier's chocolate frog, so it still had plenty of oomph in its legs. That, and all of these jumps were short-distance only, a foot or so at most. You will note that it did get tired at the end, when it fell off the lid of the box and then just clung to the amulet despite the way the doppleshell was swaying about... But that's just what I reasoned. ,br>I am glad you liked it, including ch. 7; I never had so much fun as watching Severus and all of his Snapes interacting with each other, each and every single one of them snarky to the last one of them, yet also amused and amusing (and even kind, in at least one case). Hugs! ~Lotm |
