Eeeek! I can't stand Karaoke, but that's kind of sweet. Also, I really hope he's okay - you've made a very vulnerable Snape and he breaks my heart!

Author's Response: I just loved the idea of these two, hairbrush microphone in hand, singing their hearts out to the sofa!

Hi, I felt compelled to write something to you. More often than not, when I read your work, I find tears dripping steadily from my face that mirror those I cried throughout my first reading of The Prince's Tale- just this unending, inconsolable weeping, but in a terrifically gratifying way that has more to do with extreme, genuine emotion than isolated grief or sadness. In general, I can't adequately explain to anyone why this character and his situation has touched me so deeply, but it's worth expressing my gratitude to you for unfailingly treating him with the selfless love, appreciation, generosity, understanding, fierce courage, and unending patience that he warrants, for giving to him the way he gave unrequitedly in the original story. Despite all of the assorted dorky interests I've accrued over the years, I have never read fan fiction of any kind, always thinking of it as being at this unacceptable level of triteness, crassness, obsessiveness or childishness that I refused to step over the line and delve into. Certainly, in what is now a shameless and uninhibited quest to read more about Snape wherever more about Snape exists, I have found that much of it is precisely what I assumed it would be. But each time I've read something you've written, I've found it to be full and true and complex in the same inexplicably heart-rending way that moved me so profoundly the first time around. It's meant a lot to me... I just thank you for it.

Author's Response: First of all, I cannot truly express my appreciation for your incredible comments. Reading this review has been like reading my own thoughts. There is not a point you made that I haven't felt in my own heart, About the Prince's Tale, about fanfiction in general, about my varied interests. I came upon this fandom entirely by accident less than two years ago, and something in it rang a bell in me and my Muse in a way that hadn't happened since I was a young girl, and I started writing again, because I wanted to give this character a chance to have something decent, because something about him rang true with something about me. I cannot thank you enough that you have told me these things and have said these things about my fics. While I do right original fiction, I adore writing this fanfic; it has been a positive experience in every way, and you have just added another facet to that thing I do which I love so much - writing. You have given me a wonderful gift, and I thank you with all my heart. It is my sincerest hope that I can continue to provide you with stories that give you pleasure and hope and joy and the feeling that somehow, we've all rescued this tortured man and given him a home full of love. Thank you. Thank you so much.

Oh, love this, the gentle building of their relationship, a Snape that has hit rock bottom and has a good reason for not being Professor Rigidsarcastic.

Author's Response: Thank you so much, sweetie! This means so much, coming from you. Thank you. I love the 'Professor Rigidsarcastic' reference. Brava!

Don't you just love Harry's timing? It's as if he knew just what was going on. *grin* And 'Sherlock Granger' would be a good nickname for Hermione as well. Like mother, like daughter. Forward to Christmas! ^_^

Author's Response: Thank you so much - I'm so tickled that you are enjoying the story. Poor Harry! He just wants to play Father Christmas! lol
