| Coming out of lurkdom to give my first review in over a year, because this fic is more than worth the praise due it. Well done, very well done. I was surprised by the Harry/Rose relationship but not squickily so. I wish more authors would fall away from the cliche and try for the more original AU fics like this. You write so well, it's easy to follow and there aren't any confusing strings left untied when all is done. I enjoyed it. Very much. I look forward to your next endeavor. | I knew he wasn't gone.. and I am actually glad Hermione discovered her own issues with insecurity, fear of being abandoned and neediness, since these can make relationships really difficult. Although Snape is not bothered by her neediness I do hope she will be able to let it go and not become dependent of him.
But the fact they are apparently not pushing each others red buttons is very promising. A friend of mine has the rule that a relationship should be 90% natural and no more than 10% 'work' and even this 10% work shouldn't be so complicated that it out weights the other 90%. I am sure HG/SS manage to do so.
Personally I would feel a bit frightened to promise someone to marry him already after 2 months but in your story it works wonderfully. Author's Response: Well, you know how Christmases are! LOL Thank you for your thoughtful comments. I agree that a relationship shouldn't be hard, neither should you make it hard thinking it should be work. I'm sure they had their moments - heaven knows even twelve years later the Hubs and I have our very occasional moments and we are as alike as two peas in a pod, but I think these two are powerful, passionate and strong enough to see it through. | |||

| Awww....that ending was just so sweet! :) I really loved how you dealt with the issues of self-doubt, loneliness, and fear throughout this story; even for an insecure character like Snape, love provided the hope to give him a future worth living. This is definitely one of my favorite stories! :) Please keep writing; you write Hermione and Severus's characters so well.
