Damnit, you made me cry! That was such a beautiful story, though I was sad to see that Severus and Hermione didn't make any little Snapes together. Ginny and Lily dying was a bit of a shock. Even though I can generally take them or leave them in a story, that part really caused my heart to ache. I'm glad for Harry and Rose though.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! This story hit me like a ton of bricks last Christmas and I can't remember a story that affected me so much. I also don't usually cry at my own stories (you can't tickle yourself, so it's hard to make me cry at my own fics for the same reasons ;) but this one got me.

Your story made me squee a DISGUSTING amount =). Only thing is... Harry/Rose? She's his niece, albeit by marriage. But whatever, your story is yours. I love your writings and will continue to read all that you produce. Thank you for another gift!

Author's Response: Thank you so much. Technically, Harry isn't a blood relative, but, I understand. Several readers were a little put off by it, but my Muse told me to write it that way, and I have to obey him. He won't give me any more stories if I don't. I am so glad you enjoyed the story, and my writings in general. I hope I will be able to give you lots more stories to enjoy!

I very much enjoy many of your stories, but this one has definitely moved up to the top of my favorites. It is beautiful, heartfelt, and endearing. Thank you.

Author's Response: Thank you so much. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that! This one moved me while I was writing it - I think it was the time of year, and I just sort of stayed with me. When readers enjoy it, I feel especially happy about it.

What a beautiful story, the OOC of Snape was well explained, and his thought processes were great! Thank you for sharing it

Author's Response: Thank you - I just thought that, if something like this happened to him, he would have to have a serious attitude adjustment in order to survive. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Oh man, that was amazing! The end totally made me cry! Wonderful story, wonderful writer! Thank you!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I have a bit of a soft spot for this one, so it always thrills me when someone else enjoys it.

Allow me to add my praise & effusive thanks to that of the others'. I couldn't stop reading, rarely have I been so touched by a story. This is simply a beautiful story that taps into the stores of hope and love of the reader, reminding him of his need for and great capacity for love. Thank you for reminding me that hope and love are all that really matter. God bless.

Author's Response: Thank you so much. I don't know what it was about this story, but it got to me alot. I rarely get overly emotional about a story as I write it, but this one just hit a nerve with me. I am so happy you enjoyed it, and that it gave you pleasure. I'm sorry I couldn't get it out before Christmas, though!

Alright, so I just R&R'd this story a month ago, but I just read it again and loved it, yes, once again. I just wanted to say that it's so nice to see you've got other stories in progress that you're updating (those are next on my fics to read list!), as it seems that so many great SS/HG writers have long abandoned the universe and their spellbinding WIPs. Reading your work and seeing the fics on your authored stories page and seeing they have been "Last Updated: xx/xx/2012" is so refreshing and leaves me positively glowing. I guess what I mean to say, is: Don't stop writing!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I plan on writing as long as my dear Muse keeps me writing. And I've always promised to never leave a WIP unfinished.

Ha! Cavities is right! For someone who claims to avoid fluff like the plague, you certainly lined up all the elements here. (Although I can't actually imagine Harry being a viable option for Rose, what with the biological connection between Ron and Ginny. But I digress...) Severus as Headmaster! Finally, acceptance by the world at large. This is a lovely depiction of domestic happiness for the Snapes (Rose, taking Severus' name!), but my favourite little moment? 'Harry, who obviously thought t'his was a euphemism for the Father of the Bride talk he’d been anticipating all day.' Protective Severus is pretty much exactly how I would imagine it... It's lovely that you've given Severus someone who's admired him from the moment she met him (something we all take for granted from the friends and family around us). A heartwarming story, written with such affection for your characters! Well done.

Author's Response: Well, I did warn you! Yes, I must admit I love these characters, and just want them to be happy. Thank you for your wonderful comments and insights all through the story.
