I'm glad Hermione was able to relatively easy drag him out of his shell. They both seem to bring up the best in each other and support each other to be honest with themselves, which are great building blocks when starting a relationship. And I am glad Hermione discovered that unconditional love means that you love someone for who he is, because being bossy and wanting to change someone is a very unfortunate combination. This combination however of growing on each other and giving each other space to grow is quite fruitful. I am curious though if Severus will accompany them to the Weasly Christmas dinner since I'm not sure how many people actually do know that Severus stays with her. And I'm not sure either if he is ready to face the wizarding world again. I do hope you'll let us all know asap..

Author's Response: Thank you, sweetie. You have been such an encourager for this fic - I'm so happy you are enjoying it. I think this story has been rather cathartic for me. I was that needy, graspy person trying to make relationships work, and it's taken me a lot longer to realise these home truths than it has Hermione! Jules is racing through these chapters, doing her usual amazing job beta-ing them, and when they come back to me, I am posting them ASAP.

I hope the Weasleys aren't going to make trouble for Severus and Hermione. I don't suppose they will be thrilled at the idea of him as Rose's stepdad. Just one thing: in the song I Wonder As I Wander, it's "poor ordinary people" not 'ornery" ones. :-)

Author's Response: Haha! It just shows you how us Southerners butcher the English language! I actually can blame someone else for this, though. I have an old songbook that I referenced that says ornery people! I always wondered why we were all in such a bad mood, according to the song!

I'm loving this whole fic. Now, what I really want is for Severus to get his magic back for Christmas. Is that asking too much? Hope not. THANKS for writing.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! Well, you know what they say - if you ask Father Christmas very nicely...

Indeed Teddy....whenever I listen to "Santa Baby" I have all sorts of lovely thoughts as to whom I would be teasing with it. I'm sure you're a bloody long distance legilimens. Mind you in a couple of weeks not so long distance as I' m going to Sin City for a week. Been a few times before...can't wait. But Harry...OMG...that lad has the worst timing. Had a bit of a rotten week...family disagreement over Dad's royalties. Authors beware! Best wishes, Love Ali xxxx

Author's Response: Sorry you've had a bad week, Ali dear, but yes, "Santa Baby" is a bit of fun, isn't it? Which Sin City are we talking about? I can think of a few here in the US ;) Have a lovely time, wherever you go!

Yes! It was high time those two got to snoggin'. Thanks for a very steamy end to this sentimental chapter. xxooxx ~j

Author's Response: Well, babe, you know I'm a sentimental sap. I warned you this would be a schmaltz-fest! Was this what you wanted, babe?

Hi Teddy - I first started reading this a few days ago and was so gratified to see the new chapter posted. (I'm sorry I've not reviewed until now). I have enjoyed all the stories you've posted, but this one, well it goes beyond my expectations. To see Severus portrayed like this has made me want to cry and smile. The emotions that have come from him since staying with Hermione and Rose makes him seem more human; fear, frailities and all. And I do so love Rose, a perfect part of both Ron and Hermione. I will continue to keep up with this until the end, and please know, You are now posted as one of my favorites.Thank you for the ride!

Author's Response: Wow! Thank you so much for the favourite! I am so thrilled you are enjoying my stories and this on in particular. This story is complete and with Jules, my beta, so I am posting as quickly as she gets it back to me. I was so afraid people wouldn't care for this story, as it portrayed Severus in a different way, but my Muse was adamant that this was a plausible personality for Severus Snape after everything that had happened to him, and the story just flew from my hands. It is the only story I have written where I've cried all the way through it, caught up in the emotions of it. I am so grateful that you like it, and I hope you will continue to enjoy it.
