I loved how Rose answered Hermione's proposal before Hermione got the chance to - "Yes, she will!" :) That was extra sweet! Also, I was really proud of Snape for giving Harry his box of photos of and letters from Lily. I'm glad to see that he's moved on. Excellent chapter, as always! :)

Author's Response: Thank you - I am so glad you are enjoying the story!

Wow! I can't wait to see what happens next! The karaoke concert was a great idea, but I can see why Snape was a little overwhelmed (to put it mildly) at their song choice. I love how the three of them are bonding together. Fabulous work! :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I think the girls meant well... ;) I'm glad you are enjoying the story - it's been wonderful to share with everyone.

Teddy! That’s at least the second time you’ve killed someone in the epilogue! You stop that right now! ;P I’m a little surprised that since Severus loved being a father to Rose so much, he never had any of his own children, but I liked that you kept the family small and intimate. I was prepared to hate the Rose/Harry (if my best friend married my child I would be squicked like Hermione too), but you managed to make it work. (It helped that Harry spent some time away from them all, so that he could then see Rose as a woman and not as his wife’s little niece.) In some ways, I think Harry is just as starved for love and the comfort of a family as Severus, and after their heartwarming exchange that first Christmas it seems right that this Severus would welcome Harry into their circle (and onto their couch ;)). I enjoyed the parallels you drew between Harry, Hermione, and Severus; in my experience, having your second love be the love of your life is a surprisingly common occurrence. And the ending was perfect. Like Severus, I was mentally resigning myself to the fact that the Granger Girls’ Annual Christmas Eve Sofa Concert wasn’t just for him anymore, so when Hermione and Rose both tackled him at the end I couldn’t wipe the surprised and delighted grin from my face. “His arms were full.” Indeed, and his heart. :) Thanks again Teddy for this lovely, bittersweet, and heartwarming tale!

Author's Response: Kelly, thank you as always for making my day with your thoughtful, gracious and moving comments. You touched on everything I wanted to say, and like Severus, my heart is full. This story came to mean a great deal to me; it moves me so much that you enjoyed it and took the time to fill my heart with your tender and loving words.

Author's Response: Thank you so very much! I am so glad you enjoyed my Christmas story. For some reason, this became very important to me during these holidays, when I was showered with gifts and love from friends and family, even though we didn't have too much money to return the favour. I hope you will continue to enjoy my stories.

I don't know if you are aware of an author that used to be on here, Azazello. But your writing is in the same vein and I mean that as the highest compliment. There have been many careless, cheesy stories on here (my opinion) where you can tell that not enough time or care has been put into the story; but this is not the case with you. I can tell that you put thought and care into what you put out, and it doesn't hurt that your obvious talent is for the "pen" as they say... I've spent many a night these past two months soaking in the bath for well over an hour until I look like a prune just to finish your stories, well done.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for your comment. I do try to craft a story; I like to read fics that have a lot of 'meat on the bones', and I try to provide the same. I am unfortunately not familiar with the writer you mentioned, but I will definitely look Azazello up. I'm really glad you enjoy my stories. I love writing so much, but I also love knowing that others enjoy reading them. Writing is a bit of a symbiotic relationship to me; I write because my Muse compels me, but I want what I write to be enjoyed. Thank you again for such encouraging words. Comments like yours make me want to write even more.

There's nothing I can say that hasn't been said already but I'll try.You have such a gift for writing and although I've liked all of your stories, this one , for me, was the most emotional. I do see now why you cried while writing this( I did too). I look forward to reading more of your stories so please keep them coming.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I am so glad you enjoyed it, and I hope you will continue to enjoy my stories. I have a few more coming soon.
