| They really got their wish and got different names with different lives. I literally had goosebumps reading the end of this. It was so amazing! It truely lived up to the expectations that I had for it, and surpassed them by a great measure! Author's Response: This is actually the first chapter of the story that got written, and the others were written to work around it! I hated the epilogue, and always thought everyone, especially Severus, deserved better. This was my version of it, Nineteen years later. | |||

| She's pregnant! Oh my goodness! Sneaky, sneaky Severus! You sly old bastard! I love that! How no matter what, a part of him will always be with her, without telling her. I literally had a sharp intake in breath and my hand flew over my mouth when I read they were dead. That was very mean of you to put in there. You almost had me in tears. And Dumbledore!!!!! Grrrrr.... saying their deaths were okay because it was all for the "Greater Good". He needs to be shoved off a very steep, jagged rocky cliff. But I do love how Headmaster Black weaved a story for them to be able to escape. Author's Response: I always felt that Headmaster Black would have developed a taste for adventure while being carted around - and yes, Dumbledore isn't my favourite character - as you can tell from Lay Me Low. | |||

| I love how they still try to make light of such a sad and hard situation. And that them making love is more than just the act, but the feelings. I like how you put in the fact that he feels that he has to explain to her that he has never lusted after students, even if he did feel something towards her. And the fact that he is shamed by that, it shows a lot of his character. I can't believe he is willing to accept that he will most likely die by the time this ends!!!! I can't take it! And the fact that he is still in love with Lily and feels that he needs to make amends, still! NO! My heart is just breaking for Hermione. You are able to write emotions so well that I am able to feel exactly what they are feeling. Author's Response: It is horrible to love someone who's heart has already been broken by someone else. I know, I've been there. "You can't stop loving her and I can't stop loving you'. That was something I felt had to be said. | |||

| I love how he looks at her possesively. It shows how much he wants her and needs her. How the separation is affecting him just as much as it is affecting her. It's sad to know that Severus only knows how to accept comfort in the form of sex. It breaks my heart when Severus starts crying. He is so hard on himself, and his upbringing has been instilled in him so much that he doesn't believe he is worth the love that Hermione willingly gives him. I love how he takes care of her in the only way he can at the moment, by bringing her food and potions. And they way they begin their relationship being in the middle of the story, I love it! Oh! And buttons, I forgot to mention the buttons in the last chapter! How I love the buttons! Author's Response: Thanks, Pink. I wanted to show how frightened he is, in spite of how brave he is. That is probably my most reoccuring theme in my fics - the idea of a Severus that is not completely dark, but very resigned and with such low self-esteem as to not believe himself worthy of love. I have read a lot of unredeemable!Snape, but I never quite buy it. Deep within that dark interior is a lost little boy, still crying out for love - at least, he is in my world and Sempra's world, and I look to her Severus first! | |||

| Yes, I am finally reading your other stories. Aren't you proud of me?! Jk. I had to listen to the song again when I read the lyrics at the beginning. They are so beautiful! You are really able to capture the desperation, sadness and wistfullness (is that even a word?) that Hermione feels. I love how you have her berating herself for feeling bad for herself. How she knows that they aren't doing very well, how she thought they would be done sooner, her true feelings toward Ron, how she feels that the boys drag her down and that they wouldn't be able to go on if she wasn't there holding their hands every step of the way. And then the comparison of feelings with the way she is towards Severus. How she still makes her feel, even when he is not around, how protective she is of him, how her wards around them only let him in. I think that last one speaks volumes! "She knew he needed her more than he wanted her, and wanted her more than he loved her." I cannot say how much I love this line. It encompasses everything that I think of when I think of SS/HG. Author's Response: Yeah, that's one of my favourite lines, too! ;) I always have one line in each story that I think, yeah, I'm proud of that! This is actually, of all my stories, my favourite. | |||

| this story was really moving. I don't know exactly why but at the end i had to cry.
Really beautiful ending. Author's Response: Thank you. Of all my fics so far, this is my favourite, and I actually wrote the Epilogue before I wrote the rest of it. | |||

| Jasper gave me quite the fright! I thought that was Severus grinning and delivering Aussie slang. Dear me! This story is wonderful! You have a gift for really getting to the heart of the matter. And just think... if you wrote a longer story there'd be lots and lots more time for sex. I really wanted to see for myself what the Snape family is like at home, but maybe in another of your stories... Oh, and you dreadful tease, no explicit D/s! Okay, there was that one moment... Well, given the audience you're writing for, I guess I understand... this time. *grin* Your writing effortlessly engages me on a level that few other authors can manage. Reading your story is like watching Geoff Tate sing -- he does such amazing things and makes it look so easy at the same time. More, must have more! Author's Response: Wow!!
