| Chambers Dictionary (favourite of British crossword enthusiasts) defines an eclair as ' a cake, long in shape but short in duration' - had to get that in somehow. Wonderful story! | First let me say that I enjoyed your writing style. You are very good with painting a scene in the head that encompasses several senses.
However, I found the incredibly short chapters and reiteration of the same scene from each viewpoint very tedious. I can understand some overlap, but redoing from start to finish in each step was really beginning to get to me by the end. It led to skimming thru the second scene and was impossible to stop after the 4th or 5th repetition cycle Also, I found the ending rather unsatisfying.
I hope you continue writing and do not take this as flame, but as the constructive criticism I intended it as. I look forward to reading more of your work in the future. Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed my writing! This story was purposefully an experiment - the repeated scenes where there to explore the differences in thoughts of the two characters. Reading for such isn't everyone's cup of tea. As for the ending, I can't tell what you don't like, so I will simply say that this was never a romance to have a fake happy ending. | |||

| Damn, that was an agonisingly slow tease, both for us and for Severus! Amazing story, and a really nice, satisfying ending too. Of course in my mind they end up getting married and having a brood of children too ;). Author's Response: Thanks! | Wonderful story. I've waited for some time now for you to finish (since I simply don't read WIP's and I always read Southern's pimping mails on WIKTT ). And it was worth the wait. I like this experimental style. I also like a slow developing love story. So this story has everything I like.
The scene where Severus meets Dumbledore's portrait was very impressive. Poor Severus. I loved it! And the final two chapters were just brilliant. Especially the last one. I didn't think someone could write such a good sex-scene from a man's point of view without being a man. There's really something to research. ;-)
I will look out for other stories from you in the future.

| Brilliant! It's stories such as this that have made me believe that Hermione and Snape are the perfect couple. I loved the alternating POV between Snape and Hermione. I also thought it was a great build-up of sexual tension between their first encounter to when they finally "consumated" their relationship. Bravo!!! Author's Response: Thanks!
