This is really a great story, and so well told and written! I really enjoyed it so far and am looking forward for the next parts.
I truly enjoyed your working on the wolfsbane potion, too - I just love these kind of ideas and details in a story. I'm not a natural scientist myself, but as I have proof-read the thesis of my husband about molecular modeling, I have at least some very superficial understanding of the stuff. I think it's very exciting to use modern scientific methods on wizarding subjects, too! :o)
I'm glad, too, you didn't mind my remarks about the bergamot and the bitter orange. I have taken lately to looking everything up on Wikipedia, quite a source of information... and always hoping that I don't stumble about the odd article that's having errors *g*.
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm very glad you enjoyed the last few chapters and my bringing in lots of science! I know what you mean - Wiki is great, but you have to hope it's right! |

Ah, that's nice - I just discovered that there ARE new chapters to your great story! I have been following on OWL and was just wondering about an update...
Great new chapter! I'm looking forward to reading the other new chapters as well ;o).
Just one thing, out of curiousity: I have looked into the quesiton of neroli, petitgrain and the bergamot fruit, because I was wondering you wrote the bergamot fruit came from the bitter orange tree (or isn't it sour orange tree in english?). As far as I know (and looked up on Wikipedia, too), the fruit of the bitter orange tree is not the bergamot, but the sour orange (Citrus aurantium). As my husband cultivates one I should know *grin*. The fruit is small, orange in colour and rather sour or bitter. The bergamot (Citrus aurantium bergamia), with its different kind of fruit, is or seems to be a subspecies of the sour orange tree. The fruit is said to be larger, yellow-greenish and of a different taste. As far as I gathered the bergamot oil is made from the bergamot, whereas the neroli and petitgrain is harvested from the bitter orange.
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm so glad you like the newer chapters and found them here!
Thanks as well for the info on bergamot vs bitter orange! I based this on a (bad) aromatherapy lecture where the person kept going on and on about how wonderful it was that one tree gave us three oils. I should have double checked! The scents, at least ,are as described. |

Not to be rude, but would you hurry up with this story? I'm dying!!!! I love the whole thing, so for my sanity, please get to the smut. ;-)
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you like the story so much! And the end is in sight - this is the last act. [I did take a break to write 'Back in Black' and my sshg exchange piece - I hope that makes up for it a little bit!] |

Love the newest chapter, and the way it's headed if the lingerie is anything to go by. It is right? *hint, hint* Anyways, great job with this fic, it's marvelous!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm so very glad you liked the chapter! There could be some hints buried here! |

Well an engagement party really wouldnt be the place for a former lover would it? Especially the most recent former lover!! I can understand why Snape passed on the party. Like to see Hermione thinking about him....
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm really glad you liked the chapter and the way HG is thinking about SS! And you're right - even though it's a birthday party, it's still not really a place for SS to be! |

*shrieks* what!!
I would absolutely, completely kill mine if he proposed in that manner. Gawds >_<~
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm so glad you liked the chapter and find Ron's idea of a romantic proposal horrible! |

Wow. Tonks and Snape... really?
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! Yes, SS is with NT - the next chapter explains how. |

Yeah Yeah and "screw your courage to the sticking point" is also said in Beauty and the Beast. A movie I have seen 12 million times. I side with Disney.
If you ever can work in an evil!molly to one of your stories that would rock. Her benovlence really grates on me. Just once I want someone to make her nasty. Molly being pissed at Hermione for dumping Ron makes me happy!
Thanks for the chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm so glad you enjoyed the chapter and the fact that I've kept Molly angry at HG - it just seemed a realistic expectation for her character! I didn't realize Disney had nicked lines from Shakespeare! [Sorry - I side with the S man myself.] |
