| I love how you incorporated sign language and the fact that Hermione's mom works at a school for the deaf. I'm deaf myself and am fluent in sign language, so it's very appealing to imagine Snape also being fluent ^_^ Author's Response: Aaaaahhh!! How wonderful! (Not that you're deaf, but that Severus could converse with you!) I'm so glad that it appeals to you! I know very little sign language, and am deaf in one ear. | I was rereading this and now I get the joke Anthony and Jeanne. Tony and Jeannie as in I Dream of Jeannie. You always put little jokes like that in your stories. Should have realized it when you kept doing the Star Trek jokes. Author's Response: Oh my gosh, are they really?? I didn't know that! I suppose I did, on some level, but actually I took Mrs. Granger's name from Hermione's middle name (as JK likes to give characters their parents' name as a middle), and my actual joke with Anthony was when Hermione erased her parents' memories, he was Wendell. Prince Wendell in the miniseries The 10th Kingdom, and is turned into a dog and can only be understood by the MC's dad, Tony/Anthony, through the power of a wish. It was entirely roundabout and self-indulgent of me, I admit! But wow, that's such an amazing accidental joke, the I Dream of Jeannie one!!!! You're so clever, I didn't even realise!!!! ♥♥♥♥ *hugs* | |||

| I am not even into this chapter yet, just read the author's note, and while I was pretty much already in love with this story, your note has catapulted me into devotion:
"Hey. Hey guys. It's cold in Canada. Really cold. Also, we are approaching more...intimate parts of our tale. Please be aware that these things do happen between people attracted to each other. If you're not a fan of such lascivious things, you may wish to avert your eyes. If you are not of an appropriate age for such things...well, in high school my grandmother tossed me a romance novel and told me I could read it if I "promised to skip over the sexy parts". (Guess which parts I read multiple times?) Long story short – if you're not of age, you should not be reading. But I can't exactly enforce that, and honestly.. I'd rather someone read smutty things rather than go out experimenting, or read 50 Shades. (I really, really hate that series.)"
I felt so much kinsman-ship reading that, and knew that I would love you even without your superb writing <3 :D

| Rereading this, it holds up well. I like the efforts to "repair" Severus. I like Luna's stories that rehabilitate his image. I like Hermione throwing him a children's birthday party and a family night. Not that this changes the horrors of the past but it helps him not to continue to live in them. Such a nice, hope-filled story. Thanks for sharing it. Author's Response: Thank you so much!! You always write the loveliest reviews, and I appreciate each of them. I really wanted a story where people were forced to learn to actually listen to him, his words versus his actions, and where he had to make an effort to be very clear about what he wanted and needed. ♥ | |||
