| I have to admit I was sniffling a bit at the quiet beauty of that last moment. This story has such a realistic feel to the way it views arranged marriage -- probably the way things went back in the day, where some people were miserable, some lucked into total happiness and a whole lot of people squared their shoulders and just found a way to make it work. | A party trying to create ‘unrest’ for the other side… yep, that is real. How will the ministry hurt them specifically, or will they be untouchable at Hogwarts… I hope they are taking precautions regarding the students. Am really enjoying the story. | I thought they were coming to some kind of mutual affection for each other, but then I read the last line. I cringed. It seems to me that the two of them automatically assume that sharing a bed in a marriage means that they need to become intimate with each other. As someone who's been married for 14 years, I can attest this does not need to be so. The comfort of just having someone lie beside you "just in case" of a bad dream or night terror, can be an intimate gesture all on it's own without resorting to sexual intimacy. Lying in bed and talking to one's partner can be quite loving too. It doesn't mean you have to do the nasty everytime you lay down together. Severus and Hermione seem to have a long way to go until they get to that stage I guess. Author's Response: Thanks for the review. | |||

| I don't understand why she can't try a little harder. If one has to have forced intimacy, and they're getting along as partners, why wouldn't she try to make it easier - more fun - for both of them? | Still, that is how a lot of marriages sound at first. Once some regular marriages lose their first bloom, then it's a matter of learning what to say during the silence, how to handle the other when they're mad at the world, and making mistakes along the way.
