| Such a powerful and beautiful story. The quietness of their growing regard for each other speaks volumes. I love the way your Severus seems to be caught between his own opinion of himself and Hermione's admiration and growing feelings for him. Looking forward to more. Author's Response: Ah, but then I think that given his life his knowledge of his abilities would be accurate but his opinion of himself would be distorted by those same events. | (Contented sigh) I love this story. Severus' syntax and diction is perfect and his hesitant, guarded adoration for Eli and Hermione. One thing, I think there was a mistake: I think you meant 'humanity's' history, not 'humanities.' I also love the idea of Hogwarts being a semi-sentient thing, and accepting Eli into its protection just as it did for Severus.
