But you know, I think it is much more interesting this way - it keeps the tension in the whole story. I don't like it when tHey are in love and KNOW it from the first few chapters. So - great work! Poor Draco. Yes, I have a soft spot for him. I started out reading Hermoine/Draco stories (which I still read) and then moved on to Severus/Hermoine stories. Author's Response: Poor Draco indeed. I figured the wizard was Draco, but Narcissa is going to be PISSED that Snape didn't save her son like he promised. I don't know how I missed so many chapters, but it seems I was able to read five or six straight through! This story is so rich and complex. You are a terrific writer! You don't hurry anything along...all of the relationships are evolving at a realistic pace. I'm happy to see the slow changes in Severus...it makes his capacity for love seem less out of character! I'm definitely looking forward to the next update! Cheers! Author's Response: Thank you so much. When writing Debts, I had no idea it would become a novel-length journey. I believe we're only about half-way through (there are 42 chapters). I did take my time because, although my Severus will never be the flower-picking type, it's very difficult to shove him to the love place without losing that edge. You didn't miss chapters.
