Reviews for Tonight You're Mine Completely Part I

orm irian2007.10.31 - 05:02PM12: Living Up To ExpectationsSigned
Hmm, you kind of rushed through the events in OotP. I almost expected some SS/HG interaction after she was injured in the DoM, but that was not to be. Okay, I'm off to read the final chapter.

Author's Response: Guess I did gloss over OotP events. There won’t be much interaction between SS/HG as long as HG is a minor and SS’s student. I don’t think HG sees him that way just yet, and SS, while he may be entertaining thoughts about the young witch, he still has to get over Lily. There is an interesting chapter coming up that I am working on that parallels Slughorn’s Christmas about what happens after Draco and Snape part and Snape heads back to the party. As far as we know Harry didn’t go back, but Hermione may have still been there – dodging McLaggen – until her knight in shining black shows up to rescue her. What could an intelligent wizard and a bright young witch find more interesting than a party? Perhaps comparing notes on research projects while sitting by a cosy fireside sipping Elf provided eggnog - after that evening HG will see SS in a different light. Thank you for reading and reviewing. joannie

I know what synchonicity is, but I'm not sure how it applies to this chapter. Anyway, I just wanted to leave a review--since no one else did for this chapter. Good job so far.

Author's Response: Hi. Thank you for reviewing. You are correct in observing that there are no coincidental, randomly occurring events in the chapter titled, Synchronicity. Dumbledore says to Snape: “Remember synchronicity, but I digress," he said, laughing and twinkling. Later, McGonagall gives Snape a vial of ointment from an apothecary in London. Much later, in a future chapter, Snape will rediscover that little vial at a very opportune time in his life. Sorry for misleading you with the title. I'm pleased you are enjoying the story even with this rather odd chapter, which I admit was not one of the best. It was lacking in some way, but I could never put my finger on the problem. Appreciatively, joannie.

I am looking forward to the answers to the mystery raised here. I enjoyed part one and am looking forward to part two.

Author's Response: Hi deejay, I'm so pleased to hear you are enjoying my story. I hope I do not disappoint you. Chapter fourteen went off the beta for her first read. There is one mystery that will be explained in the next chapter: omnia vincit amor. And, Hermione is going to have one of dreams come true. After that sixth year begins, and Hermione will realize that she has seen Professor Slughorn before - only a younger version. It will also be Slughorn's class that leads Hermione to thinking of a possible solution for rendering Voldemort less powerful - but she will of course need Snape's help to accomplish it. Thank you for the review. joannie

Lilya2007.05.08 - 07:59PM1: Hermione’s Atypical Day BeginsSigned
Great story, I like the plot line, and Hermione and snape stayed true to their personalitites. I assume since this was part one, their will be a part two? I do hope so. Great work, keep it up!

Author's Response: Thank you, Lilya, for taking the time to review. Yes, there will be a part two. I'm so pleased you are enjoying my little story. It means a lot to me that you say Hermione and Snape are staying in character, because I find myself wanting to write something one way - but then I say "there's no way that can happen! It wouldn't be true to their characters." I had hoped to make it one story, but it was starting to get too long, and it seemed a logical break. My mission to myself is to portray the characters as believable and give them reasons for acting a certain way or doing what they do - given their canon character, of course. Viktor will make a brief appearance in Part 2, and Elf's mystery will be explained - eventually. You probably surmised that she lived with the Potter family, but why would Dumbledore bring her to Hogwarts? When Elf told Hermione not to touch Master’s things, Elf didn’t say Master Professor’s things. Hermione and Snape are both strong-willed, and I think they are perfectly suited for each other despite the age difference, and they have much in common. Any wizard Hermione’s chronological age would be too young for her. Snape has the wisdom of his years to understand her emotional outbursts and will not be put off by them – firm but gentle touch. Appreciatively, joannie

Author's Response: Hello Majestic - Sorry, I know the feeling of wanting more. And, I really do have chapters 12 and 13 written and ready for my beta. In chapter 13 Hermione will have the pleasure of making Elf's acquaintance before leaving Hogwarts for the summer. Thank you for reviewing! joannie

hi there! Great story and chapter!! Please keep the chapters coming cause i'm really enjoying this story!!! But i need to see a little more action in this...keep the good work!!

Author's Response: Hi Sianna, Thank you for the great review! There are two more chapters for fifth year. A little more action? Maybe a wee bit more in the next two chapters, but it will be subtle. Chapter 12 is off to the beta tonight, and chapter 13 is written. I'm just polishing the ending. Now that the holidays are over the chapters will most likely move through the queue more quickly.

Good chapter! I can't remember if I've de-lurked and reviewed before, so I figured I'd stop in. ^_^ I like this story a lot, and I am anxiously waiting to see where it ends up!

Author's Response: Hi Thirteen, Thank you very much for your encouraging review. I have two more chapters planned for fifth year. I hope to have the next chapter, chapter twelve, up this month. Summary of next chapter:

Hermione reflects on her actions and wonders if she may have inadvertently been the cause for is happening at Hogwarts. Breaking in on the professor’s thoughts gives her an insight of what he had to endure as a student. Hermione makes a fatal mistake and loses her potions assistant position.

I appreciate your kind words and you taking the time to leave a review. Thanks, joannie

It boggles the mind...Snape applying ointment to his nether regions at table. Had to chortle when Minerva suggested upgrading companions.Try diphenhydramine hydrochoride 2% cream, instead of steroids for non-magical induced itching...trade name Benadryl. Preferably administered in private. Judy Witmer

Author's Response: Hi Judith, Thank you for revewing. The Benadryl might have worked. I was trying to depict how badly Snape's condition was affecting his mind - that it truly was unbearable agony. Unless one has never suffered such a condition it may be hard to imagine. I hope you will enjoy the rest of the story. I plan to have chapter 12 up this month. Thank you, joannie
