| I thought no review is better than a negative review, but whom (see? whoM) are we kidding... How does British!Hermione know of John Williams? After all, she left the Muggle world, for all intents and purposes, at age 11? Grammar, punctuation, and little plot slip-ups all cry out for a beta. Mind you, the story line is good, but it reads "generic romance", or maybe like a story summary that doesn't detail the trajectory from point A to point M or Z -- just that, suddenly, we are there! It leaves intermediary steps unexplored, unsaid, which could have fleshed out the characters and conflicts a lot better. Thinking of this as a picture -- we get broad strokes in marker, but no detailed shading or nuances. Yeah, I know, you love me too. Sorry. I am usually not this incisive, but this fic gets *SOOO* close and barely misses the mark. I have read so many other excellent pieces by you, that I am starting to think this fic was a very young exercise, high school perhaps. | |||

| Great story! One of my favorites. I think Sirius got off too lightly - he should have been dismissed from his job and the school - no way to trust somebody who convinces you to take away somebody's ability to defend themselves, then goes and attacks them while they are defenseless.
