I cheated and read this chapter on the other site, but I had to re-read it when I saw it posted here, and then I had to pop in and tell you (once again, I hope!) what a truly wonderful story you've got here. Thank you so much for writing and posting. And like several others, I thank you for letting everyone survive--it's *so* wimpy to kill off characters just to show how serious you are--my one quibble with JKR.
Author's Response: SAME. I have always thought that many of the character deaths in the last book were for that exact reason, and it is the one thing I didn't care for in the series. Well, that and how cartoonishly horrible the Dursleys were in book 1. |

| Even if an epilogue is not forthcoming I want to let you know how much I’ve enjoyed reading this. I’ve had an on and off relationship with sshg plots, and this unique storyline kept me coming back for more. |

| Goodness, the end of this chapter... that was gut-wrenching. I know there's more to come, and I'm *nearly* certain it will all work out happily, but still, that last paragraph... so brutal and beautifully written. Nicely done :)
