| oh man. this story is so perfectly paced and set. i'm keeping my theories close to my chest, though one niggling detail bothered me.
old english and modern english are actually quite closely related, though our grammar has changed. written and spoken old english are vastly different, and spoken old english actually bears a decent resemblance to modern, mostly due to our hanging on to many many words from that form. i believe it's somewhere like 2000 of our most commonly spoken words are old english, with only minor variations in spelling or ending occurring. like i said, completely minor, and not at all detracting from this wonderfully engaging mystery. i'm just a word nerd. don't mind me. |

| such a cute story and i LOVE how there wasn't any sex, which seem to be the revolving theme on this site. this kept me in suspense the whole time and was VERY well written!!!! thank you for such a lovely story! |
