Only Hermione could be clear-headed and compassionate enough to feel sorry for a dragon that had been planning to eat her. (Now when will she turn that softness on a Malfoy? Guess they'll have to die first.)
This story is as perfect as a Faberge egg but I wish it had been as large as a Christo installation. |

::smiles:: I confess, I've not seen a story quite like this before, and it was terrific.... I hate she had to kill Jerome - but I LIKED the story...
Cheers,

Great Snapes, wonderful characterisation but it finishes a bit too abruptly for me. |

Poor dragon--defeated by the ultimate in chivalry: he couldn't kill a girrrl. Or maybe 'the bait.' I don't know about Smaug, really--Jerome didn't seem anywhere near as evil. Well, not evil--dragons are chaotic neutral if they're anything, really- but Smaug killed from directed malice and from greed, hunger, pride, and inherent cruelty. Jerome...seems more to kill because he thinks he has to, and can't imagine how to stop. So, in the end, I rather pity him, and wonder if he wasn't acting out the whole scenario (and has been for centuries) out of a desperate desire (subconscious or not) just to find someone who can kill him: to finally die after all those millennia. The whole point of the dragonsbane is that he's the best warrior in the land, after all. So will she be Hermione Dragon-killer now? *grins* Thanks for an intriguing and thought-provoking little fairy tale. |

Whoa.
That's all I can really say because this strory is really good (I've added it to my favorites). All I can say is that you may want to add more detail. Other than that, It is reeeeeeeaaaaaaallllllllly good! |

Extremely funny, Hayseed. In a deeply silly way. Liked it a lot.
And now, yay, I've been looking forward to reading all of "Thursdays" at once for MONTHS! |

So Hermione the brain gets to save the day, with a sword no less! Wonderfully written and very enjoyable. |
