| This is a very nice, subtly done, beginning to a story. I especially enjoyed Hermione saying that Ron shouldn't have be-snouted Pansy, not because Hermione's a saint, but because she wanted to take care of it herself. Also, Hermione/Ron where Ron's a decent guy (if a young one, but of course he is) is one of my favorite things. Ron doesn't get any respect. Thanks! | That choking sound was intriguing. Does she realise an attraction to Snape? Author's Response: She does, yes. Although I imagine Hermione's character likes to hash things out in her mind, I'm trying to avoid using a lot of internal monologue, especially regarding her Snape crush, and tell things in scene. Does it seem too ambiguous to you, as is? Thanks for reviewing! | |||

| A very intriguing beginning - I remember well the "joys" of a mad crush on a teacher, so Hermione has all my sympathy! And actually I think this is the first fanfic I've seen that treats her feelings in quite this way, which is a bit surprising when I think about it. | I enjoyed your dialogue, particularly the wink debate, and look forward to more. If Ron can get that worked up over a wink how will he react when he finds out his girlfriend has a crush on Snape?
