AN: ok, I wrote this at about 4 in the morning when I really should have been sleeping, I'm not too sure about this one so please let me know what you think.

The candle burns,
casting a dim circle
of resented light,
on the sole occupant
of the forgotten room.
A darkened corner
marks her sanctuary,
as the woman waits,
impatient,
for her lover to return.
A cautious glance,
shows her nothing.
The forgotten room,
cluttered only,
by the thoughts
she could not contain.
Again,
the woman regrets,
again,
she closes her eyes,
shielding her mind,
from the pain of deeds past,
living
in the forgotten room.
A cool breeze,
creeps through the room
and dances
down her spine.
Again,
the candle light flickers
as the woman opens her eyes,
themselves,
so drained of light.
“Severus?”
She speaks his name,
hoping
he has returned.
Another glance,
and she knows,
the forgotten room
holds nothing
but the past.
But still,
in the forgotten room,
she waits,
impatient,
just outside the circle of light,
as the candle burns lower.
