This story is epic, majestic and completely insane! Teddy is the arch(est)-manipulator of a readers' emotions, and makes full use of her skills here. The action ebbs and flows at a perfect pace; not an easy task in a story that required frequent and detailed info dumps. The characters are beautifully rounded, and one can easily see in the places and situations given at this storys opening chapter. I cannot tell you how chuffed I was to read of Argus Filchs' involvement in the story. I've always thought that character got some of the best one-liners from JKR. (Plus, David Bradley more than brought Mr Filch to life in the films.) I bow down, and thank you, once again, Madam Radiator, for a fantastically gusset-ripping read.

Author's Response: I am so chuffed that you enjoyed this story. I really appreciate you taking the time to tell me the things you enjoyed about it, and why. I am also a real fan of David Bradley, and I have a very soft spot in my heart for Filch. This story has come to mean a lot to me; I had such a wonderful time writing it, and I am always thrilled when someone enjoys it and lets me know. Thank you Bingo - you made my day!

Really enjoyed this! I loved the Witchhikers book and the fact that M & F wrote it was icing on the cake :) Spy Filch was funny & sweet, and insane Rita was perfectly OTT. I'm very glad that Ron didn't turn out to be as idiotic as early chapters indicated tho, his character was the only one I didn't like so I was happy to see it was an act. Your S & H felt very believable. I'm off to read some more of your work :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

It wasn't particularly that great.

If it involved a character other than the leads, you just sort of threw them together and hoped your readers stuck them together... taking a page from Rita's example with idle gossip and walls.

And about her, where did THAT come from? I can see her being a bit... ummm, let's say "pushy", but going off the ledge and landing on nut-bin trail is takes it a little far.

There were other flaws that I'm not going to get into, but the one thing that I can mention that will help you with your writting is that your side characters don't really have a believable dialogue. The professors might have passed on this, but I wasn't focused on them--and I am not reading this again to figure out one way or the other. However, Filch, Skeeter, Ron, and the Prophet Editor: what they say, and how they say it, are at odds with what they did. And no, I'm not talking about marriage proposals and David... I'm taking that as a red herring and completely unnecessary. I'm more on the whole "everything else" just doesn't make sense.

Oh, and you had Fred alive instead of George in one of your chapters, but I don't remember which one.

Author's Response: Thank you for taking the time to read.

It seems that zoom, based on a quick search with that show, means love-struck fool? I'm basing this off that god awful song "Zoom". *shudders* I could not listen to more than 45 seconds of it, because it was so painfully dreadful. I actually got goosebumps of revulsion from it.

Well, it's a weird saying, but most probably are anyways.

Author's Response: Well, as I say, I heard it once in a television show and my Brit husband uses it. It's like water running over a pebble in the story. I haven't given it any thought beyond that, to be honest. Rodney Trotter said it, it made me laugh, I used it.

"Look like a right zoom."

Who or what is a "zoom"?

Is that a made up slang or does that actually mean something in the real world?

Author's Response: It's a quote from a British television show called Only Fools and Horses. My husband uses it all the time. So whether it means anything in the real world is up to you.
