| Wonderful chapter! For my money, the This Is Why We Want Severus award goes to these phrases: "...he was looking at her with eyes that were large and liquid and ...Smoldering. He was looking at her. Sloe-eyed. Burning with a man's fire. For a woman...On the receiving end of that intense, fiery glare, Hermione felt her entire body flush hot, glazed in the kiln of that incendiary stare. It was possessive and bold and not a little untamed, and no one, no one, had ever looked at her with such heavy, heated—He blinked, calmly rose to his feet and stalked away. She had sat there, breathing hard, trying to assimilate what had just happened. Snape had scorched her to cinders with one look. " I'd say you have perfectly described just why those of us who come here to Ashwinder do come here. Nicely done. The anticipation for Beltane to arrive is building! Another "10"... | Oh, Madame, this is going to be a Beltane to remember! Love the Consecration - any chance of a peek into your thoughts: Why did you choose Cernunnos and Aradia? Which particular origin of Aradia did you base this one on - if any? Ah, this story makes me smile! Thank you both :) Author's Response: Thank you so much! I am thrilled you are enjoying it. To be honest, when I looked up all the Beltane Rituals, Cernunnos and Aradia were mentioned in one of them, and the idea of Severus as Cernunnos was so appealing to me. The goddess Hecate was also mentioned and I sort of used several names interchangeably. I hope this isn't too off kilter. As I mentioned, I kind of incorporated several sources, including my own imagination, but I truly meant no disrespect by augmenting or altering them. | |||
